1. Hang a sign on their door that says YES WE'RE SMOKING, DEAL WITH IT
Go back to your room and wait for them to get busted.

2. Squirt super glue into the lock on thie door and follow it up with a toothpick.

If there's security cameras in the hall, do something rational.

I like #1, but I'll just wait tonight & see what happens.....

I've watched Days (that's what you call it if you're cool) since I was in the womb. He played Bill Horton.

I know. I'm a :dork: for knowing that.

When I lived in the dorms, I happened to be in the hallway one day, the first week of school, when an RA popped out of the stairwell, looked around like she smelled something funny, walked up to the door in front of her and sniffed, then bolted back into the stairwell.

I knocked on the door in question. The guy answered, hiding a joint behind his back. I told him what happened.

15 minutes later, the RA returned with a campus cop. He told them he'd been out and only just returned 5 minutes before. He thought he smelled something funny too, but it was much fainter now, and smelled a lot more like straight cigarettes (which were allowed) and he wasn't sure, since he'd just gotten there and his roommate wasn't there.

I'd made a friend for life, or at least until he got expelled for his grades. It doesn't hurt to have someone in your corner, even if he is a stoner.

yup, he's a really nice guy -- he even gave me an autographed b&w photo when I interviewed him a few years ago for the school newspaper

if you're caught with pot or any kind of drug, the RA doesn't even write you up -- they call the police

It was worth immediate expulsion back in the day, too. This was the first week of school freshman year. This guy OWED me.
