I thought that prices were higher than last year and many more people were bidding.

We got great prices on maters and hot peppers.. this is the first year I have been so I can't compare to last year. I don't know what you were bidding on but we got great prices on everything we bid on.
I already stated that beans of all kinds were going for crazy prices. The picture attached shows the "canning 'maters" we got for 2 bucks a box. If that is a high price, well I'll take it. LOL

where were you guys at? I was there for about an hour later in the day. Although, my sister was there all morning. I just wanted a box of okra to pickle and can.

Went for the first time last week - took my sister, who was visiting from Wisconsin, along. She said it was nothing like she'd expected and we had a ball. (I think she liked the horse drawn wagons; there's not a lot of that in Wisconsin.)
Plan on going back again very soon, definitely.
