In my view, a working relationship is based on finding a balance and it doesn't necessarily mean "50/50" on any one aspect in the relationship. You've got to find your "balance" and playing games isn't gonna do it. The example I gave on splitting laundry chores wasn't given as a "game". It was really meant as a "balance". You will learn that always being the one that "gives" messes up the balance. Him not doing his part in the laundry chores messes up the balance. You picking up his slack for putting yours and the kids clothes away, but dropping his laundry altogether helps reset the balance.

I know your suggestion wasn't meant to be a game...I am not a game player. Though I may joke about it, I would never really try to make his life harder. I think we have a fairly good balance now, but some things still bug me. I don't mind vacumning 100% of the time, but if he starts to get 'lazy' with his other stuff, it bugs me.

I think it's actually just some sort of female bonding.

I think you're right...we try to make our girlfriends feel better about it, or we try to show her that she's not the only one that has to put up with it...stuff like that. The little things aren't enough to make me want to get rid of him, but it's nice to have someone listen every now and then...especially if they can relate!

No printed t-shirts here, and I told them. They have clean and nicely folded clothes. They can either choose to turn their socks and undies right side out before wearing, or not. That's not my problem. I do laugh when I fold a polo shirt that's inside out.

Boy made the mistake of wanking to me because his socks were always inside out when he got them out to put them on.

When women get together, even if it's just in casual conversation, and one of them is pissed at her husband for something, the other women will almost invariably go, "OMG! My husband does that all the time and it drives me crazy!!! " and the man-bash is on.

What men do to become a topic of conversation:

• They don't help around the house
• They sit in front of the TV for hours on end
• They're rude
• Everything is "no big deal" unless it involves some sports team - then it's an ENORMOUS deal
• They don't communicate (unless they're talking about some sports team)
• They're slobs
• More along those same lines
