What rights do white people have when it comes to racism in the workplace?
Good question, I would say none, unless you are female you are not in a protected class.

If you can prove it you have the same rights as anyone else, proving it is the issue. Racial discrimination is covered under EEO laws and you will have the burden to show how any racial bias impacted you.

I don't know your story but the burden of proof would be pretty steep for a whitey to win a reverse discrimination suit.

I always thought "reverse discrimination" was a stupid term. Discrimination is discrimination. Reverse discrimination would be if you hired someone you didn't want because of race.
How about if experienced white people who were currently employed got passed up for a promotion for someone with no experience of a different race?

Too bad for you. Supreme court ruled a couple years ago in a case of U of Michigan Law School that race and race quota's are sufficient reason to bypass qualified white candidates for minorities.

But I may be wrong and Ken will tell you soon.

The company might be 90% black but blacks are still a minority in the nation.

I just felt the internet slow down, Ken King must be searching out your answer as we speak.

Well Pete, if I recall that was a matter of an affirmitive action policy for admission as a student and not in regard to employment.

A lot has to do with whom the employer is, private party, contractor working for the Fed or a government entity. Depending on that then there are specific regulations dealing with what does or does not constitute discrimination.

That took to long Ken!!
Your response would have taken longer had you used the correct form of "too".

Actually somd.com froze up on me as it is known to do. I had to shut down the browser and reopen it. Plus I am reading other posts trying to catch up on what has been going on.

What are you doing online at this time of the evening, working OT? :lmao:

...white people always say.

Then, before you know it, people are in chains, lands are stolen, cultures destroyed and T shirt shops open up displaying how cool things used to be.
