Hang in

Paso, I've been there. And you can ask Spinner about it. I've been in that Hell where you dont know whether he's coming home, and what it might be like if he comes home. It's Hell. Pure Hell.

You have to look out for yourself. You must. You have to take care of things that are important to you as well.

Dont listen to anyone who hasnt been there. Although I regret not being there one of the last days, I know I had to be at home, taking care of things. You are primary breadwinner. You have to be there for yourself.

You are doing wonderfully. I havent commented except in pm because it hurts too much sometimes, but you are doing fantastically.

PM me if you need to talk.

Paso...

I am sorry to hear the hospital he is in is difficult to deal with. I hope he can get transferred somewhere else (close to home) soon so you don't have to travel so far.

Besides the cost of gas you know what a sitter runs for an 88 yr old woman in diapers with Alzheimers for 8 or so hours.. :jameo: AND miss work when you are the only one paying bills...

paso i didn't know your mom had alzheimers sorry again for my comments. I thought your mom was going with you before to visit bill guess I was wrong. Yes I know what the price of daycare costs and its not cheap. I understand paso.

I have tried because of the restraints he is in (was in keyed) the local St Marys, and Calvert will NOT take him..he was interviewed by Bayside and St Marys and one in Calvert..non would except him..

Mom is in a wheel chair and diapers and does not eat food...She has COPD and is in renal failure..I can NOT risk taking her to hospitals where she could even catch a cold...It is hard enough to find parking and walk there ourselves..FIL does not walk well either..Mom does not know who I am and is NOT cooperative..she sometimes bites and fights when you dress her and sometimes fights to get in and out of a vehicle or get in the wheel chair...her skin breaks and bleeds at the touch of anything she has drawn blood just hittng a ROUND door knob of the bathroom just getting her on and off the potty...I would not subject her to the 7 hour trip to Balt and back and in and out of the vehicle..I only take her out once in a while...mostly when going to the doctors...I have NEVER taken mom to a drs office or hosp other then for herself..again being 88 with COPD her lungs can not even handle a cold..

No one can really understand untill they have walked in your shoes. Hang in there lady....and know that you are in the hearts and prayers of many.

:yeahthat: I think many people sympathize with Paso's situation but unless we've actually dealt with all she's dealing with, we don't truly understand what she's going through.

Paso, I've said this before but it's worth repeating. You're such a strong woman and I admire you so much for that. Hang in there and take care of YOU.
