Durham Finds Researcher Felt Threatened By Schiff Staffer

A university researcher felt threatened when pressed by a staffer to Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and a Democrat senator seeking help to suss out alleged links between former President Donald Trump and Russia, special counsel John Durham revealed this week.

According to Durham’s report, which the Justice Department released on Monday, the researcher recalled traveling to Capitol Hill with a colleague in November 2018 to discuss a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) cybersecurity program with Senate Armed Services Committee staffers. Afterward, the pair agreed to talk with staffers of the House Permanent Select Committee On Intelligence (HPSCI) after a staffer for Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI), then the ranking member of the armed services panel, mentioned their interest in meeting.

In a “secure” room, a HPSCI staff member presented a news article about “Trump, Russia, and Alfa Bank,” the researcher recounted. This article appears to have focused on internet data that Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign used to fuel speculation about an unfounded secret backchannel between the Trump Organization and Russia’s Alfa Bank.

Adam Schiff Faces $16 Million Fine for Spreading Russia Collusion Hoax

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) has introduced a resolution to fine Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff $16 million for his claims that former President Trump colluded with Russia in the 2016 election.

Luna says that amount is about half of the cost of the federal investigation into alleged Trump-Russia collusion, debunked by special counsel reports from Robert Mueller and John Durham.

“The GOP Conference agrees that Adam Schiff has betrayed the trust of the American people, purposely abused positions of extreme authority, lied continuously, and as such, must be held to account,” the lawmaker said in a statement. “Accordingly, the resolution requires Rep. Schiff to pay a $16 million dollar fine, half of the cost American taxpayers were forced to pay for the Russia hoax investigation.”

Mirroring Luna’s statement, the resolution accuses Schiff of betraying the American people’s trust, intentionally abusing his positions of authority, and continuously lying about Trump’s nonexistent relationship with the Kremlin. It also highlights Schiff’s promotion of the Steele dossier, support for a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant against Trump aide Carter Page, and public accusations against Page as a Russian collaborator. The resolution censures Schiff and imposes the $16 million fine, calling on House leadership to support the motion.

They will be drinking iced tea in hell before this ever happens.

Adam Schiff dodges bullet: House votes against bill censuring him for Trump-Russia 'lies'

The House of Representatives on Wednesday voted against the idea of censuring and condemning Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., for insisting that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election.

In a 225-196 vote, lawmakers decided to set aside the censure resolution against Schiff, effectively killing it and preventing a vote on passage. The resolution, introduced by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., was opposed by 20 Republicans as two other GOP lawmakers voted "present" along with five Democrats.

The resolution was known to be on shaky ground with some Republicans. One expected "no" vote, Rep. Tom Massie, R-Ky., said he opposed the idea of a fine against Schiff — the resolution up Wednesday recommended a $16 million fine but did not require it.

During a House Judiciary Committee hearing, Schiff pressed Durham on a 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., and a Russian lawyer, as discussed in special counsel Robert Mueller‘s report.

Schiff asked Durham if he was “aware” that Mueller and congressional investigations revealed the meeting was predicated on a Russian official offering the Trump campaign dirt on Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee in the 2016 presidential election.

Durham delivered a retort in which he said “People get phone calls all the time from individuals who claim to have information like that.”

Schiff then asked if Durham was saying the son of a presidential candidate “gets calls all the time from a foreign government offering dirt” on their election rival.

“I don’t think this is unique in your experience,” Durham quipped, a comment that elicited some chuckles in the room.

House votes to PASS Rep. Anna Paulina Luna's resolution to censure Adam Schiff

  • A motion put forward by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., to censure the California Democrat failed last week as Republican were leery of the $16 million fine
  • 'You honor me with your enmity. You flatter me with this falsehood,' Schiff said addressing his Republican colleagues

At one point Rep. Eric Swalwell, a fellow California member, called Speaker Kevin McCarthy a 'coward' and accused him of being 'spiteful.'

The motion put forward by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., to censure the California Democrat failed last week as Republican were leery of the $16 million fine it would have slapped Schiff with.

A revamped resolution without the fine - merely a formal statement of disapproval -garnered more Republican votes.

Last week 20 Republicans joined all Democrats in voting to table the measure - enough to send Luna back to the drawing board.

Luna took out a clause that said if the Ethics Committee found Schiff 'lied, made misrepresentations or abused sensitive information' he should be fined $16 million. Luna said the figure represented half of the $32 million special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation cost.

“Let me ask you broadly about domestic violent extremism,” Schiff said. “One of your recent reports underscored the rise of this prevalent threat and I’d ask you if you would address it today.”

“The rise of domestic violent extremism is something that I and we have been identifying for quite some time. It goes back well before January 6th,” Wray stated. He referenced the FBI’s decision to elevate “racially-motivated violent extremism” to a national threat and said the number of “domestic violent extremism” investigations at the FBI went up by 40%.

“Domestic violent extremism cuts across the spectrum from the racially motivated violent extremism, the militia violent extremism, anarchist violent extremism, environmental violent extremism and of course recently we’ve had a lot of violent extremism attacks against pro-life facilities and we are investigating those,” Wray added.

Over 100 attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers have taken place since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June 2022, according to the Family Research Council, a Christian group. Anarchists rioters in Atlanta were charged with domestic terrorism in March for violently protesting the construction of a new police facility. Climate activists have vandalized art galleries, disrupted political events and blocked highways on numerous occasions.

First, these aren’t baseless claims: there’s evidence of criminality here, whereas Trump just made a phone call. Everyone knew the Democrats’ impeachment effort was politically driven. You can’t say that here because the evidence is reliable, verifiable, and delivered by non-partisan actors. Joseph Ziegler, one of the IRS whistleblowers, is a gay Democrat, hardly fitting the mold of ultra-MAGA. And let’s not forget that Schiff seemingly coached the intelligence whistleblower during the phony Ukrainian quid pro quo circus. He knew the individual and the contents of the complaint before it was filed.

During that period when he chaired the House Intelligence Committee, Schiff also issued secret subpoenas against the Republicans who were deeply skeptical that the Ukrainian event involving Trump rose to the level of legitimate inquiry. No smoking gun evidence of quid pro quo was ever found. That’s not the same regarding the allegations facing the Bidens.

You’re the original lord of chaos, Adam. The only difference is that we have evidence that Joe Biden and his son are dirtier than the crack pipe the latter hit up while frolicking with hookers.
