Repete
Buy him Target clothes and tell him it is a lesson in disappointment because life isn't a no limit credit card and with that attitude he will likely face disappointment every day.

Can you please reread the post.

I did. And I have trouble understanding what you write, most of it doesn't make sense. You veered off of your own topic from your original post. You were the one who started talking about being glad he took an interest in his "presences" and equated that with being clean, etc.

The kids do not shop at Abercrombie and Fitch in middle school; they shop at Hot Topic and you can catch good sales there!

Kids today should be glad Sears Surplus isn't still around. :ohwell: They don't have it as bad as many of us did when we were younger, that is for sure!

All the middle kids I know shop at Abercrombie. Some like my oldest (high school) shop at Hot Topic.

Hey....remember Sears Tough Skins jeans. The knees were so hard, the jeans could stand up by themselves!!!!!!

Hollister isn't as expensive as Abercrombie. I'd put them at American Eagle prices.

:yeahthat: And I always hit the clearance area at Hollister first. Aeropostale had a sale last week; all their shirts were 50% off. They had a lot of stuff on their clearance racks too. I went to American Eagle and they had a ton of stuff in their clearance racks. Jeans for $14.97.

I don't think anything's as expensive as Abercrombie in terms of teen clothes. That places gives me the heebie jeebies just to walk past it. I feel like they want your credit references before you can walk in the store. Check out their website - they usually have good stuff on clearance online.

I guess you should have listened to Qurious and not had kids until you could afford to wrap them in name brands.

Shoot, when I was growing up, we had walmart (no target) and that was it. If we wanted something else, we had to buy it ourselves. He's in middle school...he's going to grow out of it. I'd tell him once he got a job he could buy his clothes wherever he wants. He probably has NO idea how much things cost.

That's what my parents did. When I was in high school, and we went school shopping, they'd buy us x amount of Levi's. If I wanted Jordache or Sergios, they'd pay what the cost of Levi's were, and I had to come up with the difference.

When I was in elementary/middle school, most of my clothes came from Sears Surplus. :nerd:

He is a good kid. He is a well manner child very lovable. I know he wants to look good for school. I am sure if I don't get him the clothes from A&F my mom would.. She did this to me last year. He wanted Etnies shoes and I said no. What did my mom do buy them for him.. After I told her no as well.

That's the truth!!!! He is growing up on me and I am not liking it one bit..

Today, I heard a girlie scream that came from the Bathroom and it was him. He found some hair on his privates. LOL :lmao: My youngest was like " Let me see". So when he saw ( Nosey) he told his brother " You have Man Balls". I think I almost died when I heard that.. I tell you KIDS!!! :killingme

If your kid gets wind of this thread, he will never speak to you again for putting this out there. But this is too funny. :lmao:

Take it for what you want. I don't have the energy to argue with you today.

My kids got a certain amount and how they spent it was their choice. My oldest was all about name brand, still is, but he's 30 now. The younger one always wanted more bang for his buck (still does). Funny...they both look nice and don't stink.

When I was in middle school my mom would give me $75 to spend at any store, and we would get the rest of my clothes at JC Penney Kohls etc. I think that was pretty fair...

When I was in middle school, my parents made sure I had clean, rip-free clothes that fit me. They made sure I had food in my belly and a warm place to sleep. I think that was pretty fair.

This is why some kids murder their parents in their sleep. TMI
