Slim Chickens

THE BEST wings are from the local Chinese takeout. If you ask for 4 wings, they are whole wings, not 4 sections. Deep fried, moist and full of flavor (from gawd knows what they use....) and huge. Probably from the big whole chickens they use in everything else. I get them for take-out and add my own hot sauce at home, typically Mcilhenny Green.
My favorite is Royal Farms, if they ever get around to building it. They're also whole wings, just not huge.

I bowl overhand
I agree Hong Kong III has great wings. First thing I grab from the Pu Pu platter. Very consistent too to the point they may be cloning chickens in the back.
I haven't tried them, didn't know they existed. We go to Jerry's (next to the bowling alley), and we're surprised how good their Chinese food is.

Wings are pretty damn good too..

BUT no PuPu platter.

For some reason they always mob a new place, even when it was just the new McDonalds they acted like it was something new and great. Give them a couple of weeks and it'll be a ghost town.

Thats because they usually have corporate support to open and establish the business. This is when they food, customer service, etc. are at their best. Give it about 12-18 months (when corporate hand everything off to "local talent") and it will slowly go downhill.

Really? It's been hit or miss, with me. Last time, everyone said their food was bland. As in, don't bother to bring home the leftovers.

Question of the day ...... How many ways can chicken be sold?

On another note: Stopped by Wies, and at check out looked at the price of a carton of Marlboro cigarettes. $112.99, but on sale for $110.99! That's $11.09 per pack of smokes on sale! WTF? How do smokers afford to smoke anymore?
At the time I quit at the end of 1999 I recall paying about $30 - $35 a carton. I guess the current cost is why so many broke smokers panhandle? They need $11 to buy a pack of cigarettes?

I remember as a teenager my mom sending me running into the Food World to get my dad his carton of Salems. $2.00.

Anyone care to wager if Slim Chick will be open 2 years from now?

Well? It's chicken. Just chicken. How many people really get the hankering for chicken to visit this place on a continual basis? I'm thinking after the honeymoon is over, sales will precipitately fall. Like I said, it's just chicken. Wooop T doo.

I'd be surprised if it is still open after one year.
