Exactly, it's a rip off. My oldest actually believed he would win the $ drawing and I told him he would have a better chance of getting that money out of me. :killingme

A couple of years ago, there was a school fundraiser where the first toy they got was something that has been banned in 9 countries. The US isn't one of them, though. I printed the article I found and sent it in with the order form.

Isnt that wonderful, so they get it free and make our kids work for the banned left over toy, how nice

If the stuff they are bringing home is good, I buy. Between family, my daughter always has an order to turn in. Now if it's something that totally sucks, then I just toss it. I don't think it's worth calling the school to complain. They have to make money somehow. Either do it or don't do it.

They still make them, I saw them in a store a couple of weeks ago. I'm talking about water yo-yos...

Ok, not actually 9 countries, only 6 (France, UK, Australia, Canada, Luxembourg, and Brazil) plus the state of Illinois.

So true, Im not going to call and complain because I know they need it for different functions and such. I like the Joe Corbi pizzas, now we ll order alot of them because my kids love making them and they love the taste.

I only like the pizza, cookies and cheesecakes but there is no way I am ordering from a ton of different people at $13-25 a pop. My little nephew got the packet that I despise the most with the gift wrap and other just because items like candles and ornaments. I will still order from him.

I think a good way to raise money is to do the fall festival and winter carnivals with raffled gift baskets, charge for the food and games and other things like face paint. Also, dances can also be another way to fundraise. These packets are becoming outdated.

I still have two cookie dough cannisters in the fridge from last November. I need to throw those out. I love Joe Corbi's and the other guys too, name begins with a "G".

:yeahthat: They end up getting more money raised from those than the percentage they get from those packets and the kids have fun in return on the festivals and carivals.

Gosh I remember doing those fundraisers as a kid. I feel bad now...but my mom only let be go to family, friends, and neighbors. I actually won one year in 7th grade and my buddy Lauren and I got to ride in a limo to eat fuddruckers for lunch. That was actually a pretty good time. anyways, yeah I have done the fundraiser things before. I really like the gift wrap.....just kinda expensive as I remember and I don't think there was very much gift wrap on the roll. :ohwell:

I do remember enjoying it as much as Joe Corbis. Those pizza and cookie kits are "fundraiser support" money well spent. :yay:

You are so young. Fuddruckers wasn't out when I was in school I don't think. That gift wrap... well quality products it is not.

I understand the need to raise funds but I wonder how do they get their feedback for products. Orders received? Whatever happened to Katydids?
