I sincerely wish SOMEONE in Washington can figure out what the rest of us know - the price of EVERYTHING is linked to the cost of gas and fossil fuels. The ONE THING Trump did that revved up the economy more than anything else was, he encouraged everything that would lower the price of gas.

This is utter BS. In what alternative universe do you live? He negotiated with OPEC+ specifically to cut production which you will understand creates upward pressure on retail gasoline prices. He did this for a very reasonable purpose, mind you, that of raising the price of oil to make our shale industry profitable again and put folks employed by that industry back to work. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but the downside is paying more for retail gasoline. There is no goldilocks perfection here; pick one or the other: cheap gas or a robust domestic shale industry.

My God you are a goober! Why don't you tell the whole story ? You know about how OPEC ramped up production to drive our very successful shale industry down which worked for a short while . The industry shut down high cost wells then proceeded to lower the threshold of profitability needed on other wells . In other words they learned to make a profit on lower oil prices . Biden's message to the oil and gas industry is this we are going to throw up roadblocks on domestic production in order to raise fuel prices to help OPEC and the Russians.

Ah, so why did the price of gas go down during Trumps presidency, Mr Democrap?

And why isn't that working for Joe?

Yeah. Less gas means lower price for Trump, higher Price for Joe.

I don't care what argument you make - if it conflicts with observable facts, you're not going to convince anyone. It's the old, who ya gonna believe, me or your own lyin' eyes?

Gas prices plummeted under Trump, domestic oil production rose and worldwide oil prices stayed well below the average from the previous administration. My assertion had nothing to do with how he did it - just that he did.

I was working at W&L Texaco in front of Mattingly's IGA when gas went over $.99 per gallon. We had to program the pumps for 1/2 gallon pricing and double it. You wouldn't believe how much trouble a certain demographic had with understanding that concept.
