This is making me sad... I just got told I won't be getting my car back until the end of the month. :bawl: Almost $10k in damages and this long to fix. Thank God for insurance.

Well can you say a throw back to the street rods of the 40's with huge V8's & a chopped roof? I myself love it. RWD, Hemi V8, room for 6 & a trunk. Can't beat that for 30k$. I'm impressed car manufacturers are doing different things, rather than following the same boring dribble that has been produced as of late.

I'm workin' on putting a '85 Vette back together. Don't think I'll want to drive it once it is running again, since gas prices are so high.

Guess I need to get a decent job first.

B came over to my parents house last night. Big mistake letting my dad and B talk about my car and what I should do. They have decided that I need to get rid of it. B's been saying this since the accident but now he has back-up. Now that I've been with out it so long I just want it back. I don't want to get rid of it. :frown: Right before the accident we had decided to keep it. The payment is about average and I'd have negative equity trading it in. None of that matters now.

It did have a considerable amount of damage. I'm suprised they didn't total it but the cost was just under the cost of totalling it. It was almost $10k. Not only body/frame damage but a lot of damage under the hood radiator was smashed, a/c was gone as well as other things.

I just don't know what to get. B wants me to get a SUV. He'd be happy if I was driving a tank. I've been driving his old 4Runner for a month now and I'm not a big fan of something so big plus it's harder to get the little one in and out of then a low 4 door. But I want to be smarter then I was with the Lexus and get something I'll like but that's more economical. Maybe the new Accord. I'm not going to drop the money on the new Volvo S40 that I really want. I just don't know. :frown:

Get a cheap vehicle that is dependible enough to get you to and from work. Then save up for the car you really want...

i want to get a '72 Porsche 914... 916 would be even better.

I am a big fan of the 914-6. I hope to have one some day. I had the privilage of taking a ride in a race prepped 914-6 at Summit Point last year. 270hp and only 1900lbs. made for a quick car.

Me, cheap vehicle? Yeah right. I may get something practical but nothing cheap and nothing I'll be unhappy with either. I know myself well enough to know that if I hate my car I'll end up trading it in no matter what the cost. We have plenty of money. Enough that I could have what I want and then some but I'm trying to be practical.

On a side note we're going to Atlantic City on the 17th. Maybe I'll win big. Yeah right. If it weren't for bad luck I'd have none. :frown:
