Me, cheap vehicle? Yeah right. :biggrin: I may get something practical but nothing cheap and nothing I'll be unhappy with either. I know myself well enough to know that if I hate my car I'll end up trading it in no matter what the cost. We have plenty of money. Enough that I could have what I want and then some but I'm trying to be practical.

Practical=cheap

:confused: I'm confusing? I didn't quite get that.

Money is not an issue but I want to get something a little more practical then what I had. Better gas mileage and such. Before the accident I had decided to keep my car. Now that it's been wrecked B and my dad both are pushing me to get a new car because they don't think it's safe anymore. Even though I want to keep it I agree with the amount of damage it had that it's probably not all that safe. So now that I have to get a new car I don't know what I want. I want to be smarter about it then I was last time. Get it?

Better ground clearance. I'll run right over the ladders in that. I'm not looking forward to trying to find one that I want. I've looked up what they're worth and it seems that most dealers are trying to sell them for a couple thousand more then that. Plus I'm not even all that sure that's what I want. I guess it's probably the smartest thing that I'll be happy with. Grrrrrrr. Stupid f-ers with ladders. :burning:

Might I recommend a Subaru WRX Wagon. Safe, very practical, reliable, and doesn't drive like a boat. Did I mention that it is quick? 227 hp and All Wheel Drive.
If you want bigger, go with a Forrester XT. Did I mention that it is even quicker.

No offense (since you have one) but I'm not a big fan of the WRX. I think they're ugly. I'm leaning on the Accord EX V6. 240 hp.

It's only a ricer car if it has additional useless junk. The car has the power, torque, control & a reliable motor. I don't consider that rice, I consider that a nice car. Too many people are quick to throw the word Rice out.

Pixie, What happened? :confused: I did search for the old thread and couldn't find anything about your car wreck/accident. (was it deleted?) I must have missed it sometime in the past two months.

Sorry about your car.

B's been saying this since the accident but now he has back-up. Now that I've been with out it so long I just want it back. I don't want to get rid of it. :frown: Right before the accident we had decided to keep it. The payment is about average and I'd have negative equity trading it in. None of that matters now.

It did have a considerable amount of damage. I'm suprised they didn't total it but the cost was just under the cost of totalling it. It was almost $10k. Not only body/frame damage but a lot of damage under the hood radiator was smashed, a/c was gone as well as other things.

I just don't know what to get. B wants me to get a SUV. He'd be happy if I was driving a tank. I've been driving his old 4Runner for a month now and I'm not a big fan of something so big plus it's harder to get the little one in and out of then a low 4 door.
But I want to be smarter then I was with the Lexus and get something I'll like but that's more economical. Maybe the new Accord. I'm not going to drop the money on the new Volvo S40 that I really want. I just don't know. :frown:

I feel you on the not having a vehicle because my 2002 caravan was totaled in the hurricane and still owe 9k on it, and went 4 months w/ out a ride with 4 kids soI know how you feel, we have a 98 durango now. Hope things get better for you soon.
