You can clearly see the gate has a lock and it is the entrance to their private property, not the street. It would be nice when idiots get their facts straight before they post crap like "It was an unlocked gate as the community isn’t really private. The roads and sidewalks are publicly maintained and therefore there is a right of way. "

It is a private gate/street, but per this video it was opened and they walked through it. The gate doesn't look all bent to hell like it did in that picture, so I wonder if that happened afterward.
If it was unlocked why did they destroy it? Or are you talking out your ass again?

From the first article it states, "Portland Place is a private street" and also, the gate was CLOSED and clearly marked with no trespassing signs, so if it was unlocked, the trespassers have NO RIGHT to enter a closed gate.
Strictly speaking... They have no RIGHT to enter an OPEN gate on to private property either.
