It wasn't his difference of opinion that caused the problem. It was his actions. He didn't have the common sense to act civilized. All his jumping around and shouting caused the police to take action. If the kid would have settled down and acted in a normal manner he wouldn't have gotten put down on the floor, etc.

:yeahthat:

Turning on the cops and making a gesture signalling them to "come on" didn't help matters either.

Oh, no! I offended a liberal! So easy to do, isn't it! I just nuked my beef stew. I wonder if the cow was tasered before it was slaughtered. Either way, it was delicious. Oops, hope that doesn't offend you Veggiemom.

OMG OMG! A comment about my being VEGAN! Run away! Run away! :jameo:

WEAK!

You totally missed my point. People should not be physically attacked for their views.

Not arguing that this guy was a putz. He should have been removed, no question.

I just don't take kindly to the glee over his getting tazered. At a Kerry speech he could have easily been of the opposite political persuasion.

You're right but the cops could've subdued him without the shock treatment.

I just had a chance to watch the video. They gave this idiot so many chances to cooperate. He was yelling, resisting, fighting. He was very disorderly and would not stop. They warned him. He knew it was coming but continued to shout. Yes, the police were justified to zap him. Are they supposed to let it go on until the idiot shuts up on his own? ARe they supposed to get hurt trying to get him under control? No way. This idiot could have prevented the tazing but wouldn't cooperate. Just because he didn't want to be arrested is not a reason to resist. He was given a lawful order and didn't obey. If he had walked out with the officers or put his hands behind his back, he would not have been zapped.

They didn't attack him because if his views. They attacked him because he was acting like an azz. If he was yelling at Kerry, he was probably saying stuff I'd agree with but I'd never continue to be an azz when the PoPo told me to be quiet.

I was not refering to this guy. He should have been removed for being disruptive and not yielding the mic to others who wanted to ask questions (should review the meaning of "civil disobedience").

What I am saying is it's not funny to say "oh this person was ____ political persuasion and got tazered hahahaha".

And if it were some right-winger acting like that, I would agree with the cops zapping him as well.

You can't just rush the stage at a political speech when the speaker is as high-profile as John Kerry. You just can't. Everyone over the age of 12 knows this.

Exactly. He was none too bright. But there are posters here laughing because "ha ha ha silly liberal got zapped." That's what I'm taking issue with. They would be calling for blood if the zappee was on the opposite end of the spectrum.

So, you don't think a bumper sticker that says "Tazer all Liberals" would be funny? Or how about "Zap Zap, Mr. Decocrap"

Mmmm, I doubt that.

However, it IS funny when some screaming moonbat gets what's coming to him because so many of them never pay for their immature behavior. They disrupt speeches and rallies, and if the cops so much as look at them funny, the media erupts in this avalance of outrage.

And it so happens that 9 times out of 10 when something like this happens, it's a nutty liberal as the offender. They're like children run amok. So, yes, it's funny that the libtard got what was coming to him.

If my TV set had a taser button, Hillary would have been writhing on the floor during the Petraeus report because she's such an arrogant ass.

I think you are mis-judging the people here. We take pleasure in any nutjob getting tazered. We find it very funny. It doesn't really matter what their political leanings are, just as long as they get tazered.

While some here seem to be taking pleasure in it being a liberal, you can bet they would laugh just as hard if some right wing loon got zapped.

I feel the same way that I did when it was Bush getting the business. If this was a private speaking engagement, the guy was being disruptive and should have been shut down. Tasering him was a bit much, but this guy has no right to start going off and spoil it for everyone else. They went there to hear Kerry speak, not this nimrod.

Vrai - what the difference if you don't see anything wrong with shocking a mentally disabled person as a simple behavior modification tactic?

I used a shock collar on my sheltie. It only took him two zaps and he understood where the line was in the yard. He doesn't even wear the collar anymore. So, shock therapy worked for my dog but I really don't think it would be that effective for liberals. My dog is much smarter.
