Student Tasered at Kerry speech

I used a shock collar on my sheltie. It only took him two zaps and he understood where the line was in the yard. He doesn't even wear the collar anymore. So, shock therapy worked for my dog but I really don't think it would be that effective for liberals. My dog is much smarter.

But of course! Our dumb butts have "I Hate Conservatives" under our avatars and "Dont' Blame Me I Voted for Gore" stickers on the back of our Priuses.

Also, Dixie, the tasers the cops use to subdue people is a lot stronger than the light shock you get from a dog collar or a behavior modification shock.

I've neve been tasered, but I've seen videos where people drop like a rock when hit. The dog collar is a light zap - just enough to get your attention.

But I still think that the taser-tackle technique was a gross overreaction, and well within the realm of abuse.

What amazes me is that (1) some conservatives on this page seem to be surprised by the idiot's behavior and (2) the liberals believe he was wronged somehow. This idiot's behavior is typical of the Kool-Aid drinkers who still believe Gore won the 2000 election and that Kerry is really President of the U.S. because they personally voted for them both. Yeah - I was throwing around the term "abuse", and I stopped just short of saying the cops should have been disciplined and/or more.

I definitely jumped the gun, but hey, we can only go by what we see, and all I saw yesterday was a kid begging not to be tazed before getting a lightning bolt shoved up his poop-chute.

I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this story.

Okay so why did this kid really do this?

1) Was paid by Moveon.org (or some other kind of radical left wing group) because Kerry just isn't pandering far enough to the left

2) Was hired by Ann Coulter because she wanted to show just what kooks these liberals are

3) He is a drama student at the college and thought this would be a good place to hone his new acting skills

4) Was hired by OJ as a distraction away from his case?

5) He really believes Kerry is a member of the skull and bones society and wanted to call him out on this.

6) He just wanted attention

Right or wrong, I think they made a mistake using a taser just because it was available. The question is, could this guy have been subdued using just physical force? Three or four officers were all over him, one was a humongous dude. They resorted to the easy way out. Send them back to the academy for "Take Down 101" or sentence then to 100 hours viewing Cops or something simliar.
