I am borrowing my neighbor's kid's bike - it's a pretty shade of pink and even has one of those cool ringing bells!

I'm really noticing now what Memorial Day weekend did to my tire. Cooked a nice flat spot in the middle. Now when I roll over that edge in a turn, it kicks out. Once I get on the side it's fine.

I'm still going :yay:

Doing burnouts?

No, just slabbed it for 700 or so miles or so in the heat. The BT-014 tire I have is soft and not a good hwy tire.

Might have to do some before I say goosbye to it though

I don't know whether I'll be on my bike or riding with the hubby. Ankle is really swollen and I killed my bike at an intersection today, so don't want to put you all through my being a dumbass. I have a girlfriend with a trike that is going to come (she's not on the forums, but also a new rider), and right off 249, I have friends that will be starting their crabs at about 10:30 and have beachfront property and said we could stop in. It's up to you guys whether we do or not.

I'm actually thinking about giving the entire riding thing up. I scare myself.

When I killed it at the intersection, I thought maybe I'm not up to doing this. I'm 47 and just started riding. Maybe I shouldn't be. :huggy:

I know of a young lass that began riding at the tender age of 62. Met her about a month ago at wawa on 235. She had retired and had been promising herself tat she would learn to ride for 40 years. Neat lady.

See you all tomorrow morning!!!

Hey I'm 46 (this month). I've only been riding for 2 years. I got cut off in DC only 2 months after I started. I broke my collar bone. I learned a valuable lesson and pay much more attention when I ride now.

I just can't see giving it up. I only wish I had bought a bike sooner.

Well the oil the key trick worked for my gas tank. Hope you guys had a good time :yay:
Great! I was worried you'd run out and not get home. We had a nice ride. Great people! Lugnut did a great job leading the pack. It was good meeting you all!

Thanks! I was worried about setting too fast or too slow of a pace. That was the first time I've lead a group.

Loose tooth, glad to hear your key works now and you were able to fill up. We'll see ya next time we ride.

For those that missed the ride, we had about 7 bikes of various makes/models including one very nice looking purple Harley trike.
