You know the funniest thing about this thread is that the women are defending a bunch of guys who may have raped someone, and doing everything they can to cast depersions on the alledged victim.
Don't generalize. I am not casting dispersions. If she were raped, it's a horrible thing, and whoever did it should be punished. If she wasn't raped, shame on her, and I hope they throw the book at her. EITHER WAY, I feel the situation could have been avoided if, like I said earlier, she took a little personal responsibility and didn't put herself in a position to be harmed. And no, that doesn't mean bringing a bodyguard to the party she's stripping for, it means not being a stripper and putting herself in such a vulnerable situation. There's a reason our mommas told us not to walk down dark alleys by ourselves at night. A woman shouldn't intentionally put herself in harm's way.

From what i understand, dancers usually take a body gaurd when doing an "in-home" thing, they probabl;y figured they would be OK b/c there were two of them
Ever notice that when someone says "from what I understand" or "friend of a friend told me" and the topic is strippers, it's really first hand information?

Here's a translation of your original:

Apparently. Please show me where MV said women who dress provocatively deserve to be raped. I might have missed that post.

usually take a body gaurd with them, but didn't, probably because theyt thought they (the dancers) were safe because there were two of them (the dancers)
Then you obviously haven't been paying attention. The two women worked for an "escort service", not a dance club, and this was the first time they'd ever "performed" for a group. Before you start offering up an opinion, it would help if you were at least semi-familiar with the story.

Midnightrider obviously doesn't know what an "escort service" is.

It's pretty apparent that these two women were hookers and one of the lacrosse dudes hired them on the street to come strip for the party. They show up, see their ticket to payola, and scream rape.

Out of 47 team members, only three are accused. How hard would it be for the cops to get someone to sing if the allegations were true? Even among the three "perps", you have to imagine one of them giving up the other two in exchange for leniency.

Either the cops are inept, or this just doesn't fit human behavior.

I haven't seen any article that has charecerized them as anything other than dancers, you want to point me to this article where it reveals they are escorts?

The woman told police she was hired through an escort service as a dancer for what she thought was a bachelor party for a few men, according to police reports.

Some Duke lacrosse players reportedly hired two exotic dancers from an escort service to dance at a house party earlier in March.

The school said the team would forfeit two games - Saturday's home match vs. Georgetown and a Tuesday game vs. Mount St. Mary's - for conduct at the party that was inappropriate, including serving alcohol to underage students and hiring women from the escort service.

Try and keep up, would ya?
