Maybe Vrai but it really bugs me to think any woman, anywhere would do this. I'm kinda praying for a miracle.

Sadly, MOST reported cases of rape are false. Only aboout 5-10% of the reported cases are valid claims of sexual assault.

Doubt me? Check with your local State's Attorny's Office.

This is the part that pizzes me off... there are women that will and do make false accusations hoping to benefit from it one way or the other, be it money, child custody, or simply revenge. Those women are the reason women who have truly been victimized are put through the gauntlet.

:yay: She just hurt the credibility of every rape victim, male or female, young or old. That's why her accusations are so wrong.

After Susan Smith, every time a kid disappears, we all wonder if Mom is telling the truth. Same thing here. This hooker's actions could mean that future real rapes won't be believed, and that's the real crime in this case.

Kain, if the players had douched her with Clorox, don't you think that might have come up when she gave her statement? Or at least have been detected when the woman had her physical?

I think women who cry false rape should be executed. It just makes me angry to realize that this woman will get away with what she did - never be held responsible for starting this mess in any way, shape or form.

Tawana Brawley ruined that lawyer's life and she didn't face one single penalty for doing it. Happens every day.

:yay: There would also still be DNA. It's easy to kill the little swimmers, but getting rid of the DNA is a lot harder.

The "assault" was almost a month ago. High profile gets it through quicker. You can bet that most of the testing was done two weeks ago, with the remaining time spent getting everything legal.

April 1st Article, from the Toronto Star
On the night of March 13, a black woman made a tearful call to 911 to complain that a white man — from a house that was being leased by three lacrosse team members — had shouted a racial slur at her and a friend. She told police that someone had recently defaced a neighbourhood car with the letters ``KKK.''

``I'm just so angry I didn't know who to call,'' the woman sobbed in impotent rage. ``They didn't harm me in any way, but I just feel so completely offended, I can't even believe it.''

That same night, a woman says she and a partner went there expecting to entertain a bachelor party of five, but that they soon found themselves surrounded by more than 40 drunken men barking racial slurs.

``We started to cry,'' she told the News & Observer of Raleigh. ``We were so scared.''

She told police she and her friend left the house. Jason Bissey was smoking a cigarette on the front porch next door and said he heard some of the party demand a refund.

He heard one shout, ``Hey #####! Thank your grandpa for my nice cotton shirt.''

Someone from the house apologized and coaxed the women back inside. It was then, the woman says, that she was dragged into a bathroom and raped, beaten and choked by three men for a half hour.

Police say medical evidence is consistent with a sexual assault. Officers recovered the woman's makeup bag, cell phone and identification from the house — as well as four red-polished fingernails she says were broken off during the struggle.

A judge ordered 46 members of the team to submit DNA samples. Because the woman says her attackers were white, the squad's lone black member was not tested.

That's hard to fake.
She had scratches, cuts and bruises. That would be evidence consistent with a sexual assault. Thus, the opening of the investigation.

The defense says they have proof she arrived in this condition. Thus, yet another reason the prosecution is having a hard time coming up with actual charges.

She probably was beaten up and "raped", in some fashion. And I'll bet if they do a DNA test on her pimp or boyfriend, they'll get a match.

But she's not pressing charges against them, she was going after the lacrosse players. So we'll never know.

The same thought crossed my mind.

What I'm curious about is....where's the other woman? There were two of them, and the lying hooker said they BOTH went back in the house, where they were separated and she was raped and beaten.

Why hasn't the other woman given a statement? Or has she and I just haven't heard it?

They defense lawyers had said she had been questioned and her friend had told her nothing of the rape.
