Run out of intelligent things to say? Yep, violence always works.

I'm starting a folder of threats I've receive here. In case it needs to be turned over to law enforcement, it will be ready.

BTW, don't forget to mention your threats when you go to confession next time. God won't let you into heaven with so much hate in your heart.

this one I might have to turn over the FBI to report an internet crime.

Nope, if you consider it an insult, it's only the ones that joined up after we invaded Iraq.

Not sure why you consider ignorance an insult. Sometimes it's just fact of life, luck of the draw, what-have-hou.

I doubt Pat Tillman would join up today with how badly Iraq has gone, he's too smart for that.

Good one there Forestal. You just went from insulting damn near ALL the armed forces to just the ones that have enlisted since after 9/11.

We dont' have to support the mission to support the troops. that's the basic tenet I'm trying to drum into your thick skull.

Maybe bob had a good reason to join many years ago, but the only reason to join in the last four years is if you're stupid or naive.

Forest, you’re all over the map man. You say you don’t support the mission but support the troops then go on to say that the only reason someone could join the military in the last 4 years is because they are stupid or naïve. Calling our military stupid and naive doesn’t sound much like support to me.

I served 20 years and now work as a military contractor and have to tell you your assessment of new recruits is dead wrong. They are some of the most intelligent people I know, and far from naïve. They understand completely what they joining for. Just because you don’t understand what it means to want to sacrifice for this cause doesn’t make nearly 1.5 million people stupid and naïve. I would suggest you stop listening to all your left-wing propaganda for a little while, spend some real time with some military folks and ask them some quality questions and listen to what they have to say. You might experience an education.

Threats aren't agains the law - ask a cop.

But Forestal is right, you all don't need to resort to that kind of thing to make your point. And threatening your fellow forum members is explicitly against our forum rules. So knock it off.

I'm going to say this in the nicest tone I can possibly muster:

I don't agree with you on many points, including Iraq and President Bush.
I don't agree with you in regards to the armed forces.
I pray every day for our President and for our troops, including my husband's cousin who currently serves in Afghanistan and our friends we met while my husband was serving our country in the Navy.

Our armed forces don't get paid near what they are worth (the most my husband earned in a year when he was in the Navy was $30,000 and that's when he was a sonar technician on a fast attack submarine) and to hear sentiments like yours, it stings a lot.

Rally against President Bush all you want. Rally against the war in Iraq all you want. But don't belittle our troops and their decision to enlist. Don't dismiss their decision to enlist at a certain point in time as 'ignorance'.

You can disagree with the war and our President and still support our troops. It's as simple as 'While I don't agree with this war, I pray for the safe return of our troops. I pray for the families of those who loved ones paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country'

I think of Forestal's assinine comment as more a reflection on him than on Bush or our troops. Which is why I rarely read his posts, let alone respond to them. It's kind of like the drunken bum laying in the gutter with a bottle of Thunderbird, mumbling to himself - I never stop to hear what they're saying, either.

Nice beach front cottages on the Barking Sands Pacific Military facility in Kauai.

Pay according to your rank..My girlfriend and I paid about $100 per day for a nice cottage with two rooms, deck, full kitchen, and cable tv.

It's practically a private beach. There is nearly never anyone on the beach because there are no tourists, and only locals who have passed an FBI background check can get on.

You had posted this in another thread. Save money in Hawaii on 01-02-2007, 05:02 PM.

My question is, who served for you to be able to do this? Are you in the military? Is you girlfriend in the military? If she is, did she dump your ass for insulting her? I just want to know how you can be so hateful about our troops, yet you are taking advantage of a service available only to them?

As much as I respect your position on nearly everything, and I realize Forestal is quite ignorant on many things especially when it comes to our military, I find it disturbing to wish harm on anyone just because they have an opinion, no matter how deeply rooted in ignorance it is.

I agree with this.

I do believe that people like Forestal and Andy (and sometimes Kerad) just post stupid stuff to get a rise out of everyone. I refuse to let them rile me (except for Kerad, because I genuinely like him and enjoy arguing with him). And if I were going to beat someone up, you can bet it wouldn't be over their political opinion.

:yeahthat: Similarly to you, I give him as much credibility as the guy on the street corner with "THE END IS NEAR" written on a sandwich board.

Shout, rant and rave all you want forestal; you will not miraculously become any more correct. But perhaps that is why you act this way, because you feel powerless or scared in the 'real world'.

I would not wish pain on you. Such a thing is merely temporary. Instead, get an education; it'll last longer. :yay:

I have read here in this thread where a tag has been laid at forestal's feet; and that tag is "ignorant".

What is the root word inside that tag? Heck maybe it's getting close to where we should place this individual.

I've also noticed that from time to time, he plays the Jean Francois Kerry game;
he flip-flops! :lmao:

But, if the point of the game is to expose forestal as a hypocrite, coward and liar... what can I do to him that he has not already done to himself?

Hmmmm, how about letting him rant some more; he'll supply the rope for his own noose! :lmao:

And no, that is not a threat on my part, because it'll be self-inflicted. :yay:
