Apparently he didn't raise enough money quick enough this time..baileydog said:He just died!
You make my point in your celebration of Rev. Falwell's death. You are the persona of intolerance and call him intolerant.Kerad said:
Coming from you, this post is freakin' hilarious!
On topic, the world is a much better place without Rev. Falwell...one less advocate of hatred and intolerance.

"The ACLU has got to take a lot of blame for this. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- I point the finger in their face and say, 'You helped this happen.'" -- The Rev. Jerry Falwell, in a Sept. 13 appearance on "The 700 Club."

His joy in the pain of 9/11 and his willingness to use that for his own gain proved to me that he is not worthy of any sympathy.
His hate filled version of faith is not something most rational people would support.

You can make fun of me all you want, I'll be gone...2ndAmendment said:OK. So when you die MMDad and itbob, we should have a thread making fun of you, because we don't agree politically or religiously. Got it. I'll keep that in mind.
I did not agree with Rev. Falwell on many things. I did agree on some. I agree with the statement posted.
I still find that there is still no reason to make fun of his dieing. His family is grieving just as any family would at the death of a loved one.
Itsbob, there was a loss close to you recently. Cause for making fun or grieving?

Not fun.MMDad said:If you believe that I made fun of Rev. Falwell's death, please show me the post.
But certainly disdain.MMDad said::shrug:

I cannot give him credit for using the pain of 9/11 for his own personal and political gain. He was completely justified to have his own opinion, and to eventually voice it, but less than 48 hours after it happened was just wrong.High EGT said:You have to give the man credit he didn't compromise his moral view point for the sake of political correctness. And for all he stood for he now has the answer to the greatest mystery we all must face.

As far as others, if they made a living by convincing people on fixed incomes to send them their money to support their lavish lifestyles, IN THE NAME OF GOD.. than by all means, start making fun.
