Records reveal that 10 of the country's top church leaders defy the Pope's example and live in residences worth more than $1 million.

Pure CNN Propaganda .....

Among archbishops, Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York leads the pack with this 15,000-square-foot mansion on Madison Avenue, in one of the priciest corridors of Manhattan.

Vanderbilt Appraisal Company, a New York firm hired by CNN to estimate the building's value, said it's worth at least $30 million. Dolan shares the neo-Gothic mansion, which is reportedly filled with thick red carpets and priceless antiques, with three other priests.

Catholic Leader Says CNN Not Practicing What It Preaches

“He is living in a house that is attached to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, was built more than a hundred years ago, and cannot be sold separately because of its landmark status,” wrote Donohue of Dolan’s allegedly too-luxurious domicile.

The house “also houses offices, living quarters for other priests, guest rooms, a dining area, etc.,” continued Donohue.

What’s rich, according to Donohue, is CNN’s double-standard.

“CNN never stops talking about “income inequality,”” he stated, calling for the executives of Time Warner, CNN’s parent company, “to turn their camera on themselves.”

I don't do anything on these forums in the name of God...........
You seem to have that title all locked up by your little blessed self..........

You still haven't explained yourself.....it's amazing you avoid answering simple questions....

I'm not making any money off of Jesus or living in large mansions because I have followers.

CNN is a business entity. People can chose to support them or not. The church is appealing to it's members to give money so the church can do God's work. Some how I don't think God would approve of his leaders living in million $$$ abodes, while the faithful barely scrape by.

I love how when Bill Donohue gets busted, his first instinct it to point to CNN and say well you do it too.

Bishops, etc. living in large homes are almost exclusively donated...not bought by donations and built just recently on tithings...

So why not sell the homes and then use the proceeds to do God's work?

God bless the USA
Pastors are as rich as a congregation wants to make them. The tv evangelists did a number on my x-mil. She never had much, but she spent every last penny she had sending money to them. Oh and yeah, she always told me she was more perfect than Jesus. I guess that is why she sent the money, or who knows why she did it. Charity is one thing; going overboard is another. Think of all the famous 'pastors' we have heard about that live in luxury. Makes no sense, whatsoever. JMO

More than half of the money they use comes from the federal government.

Sorry, my bad........
This one charity spends "only" $1,500,000,000.00 of their own money on charity work.

The government gives them some more because they are the best institutution in the world to handle it.
I don't know of any organization I'd rather donate to because of their great use of the funds. It looks like I am not alone.

Yes your bad. They only use $864 M of 'their own money', not the $1.5 B you claim. The balance went for salaries and fundraising. Still an impressive number but not nearly as generous as you make them appear.

Show me a better religious charity that does more with the funds it recieves vs the of money it uses for charitable causes.
