I know she also has a much greater knowledge of computers and such than I do.
I don't know about all that. Christy's then 12 year old daughter showed me how to use my first smartphone.

The iPad I bought two years ago for $800 is now an obsolete piece of garbage. The OS is 4.3 and every one of my apps except Kindle no longer work because they now only work with 5.0. Would be great if I could get the new OS on my current iPad but...OFW too bad for me.
I will never buy another Apple piece of #### again and I'm glad Steve Jobs is dead. Hope it was as painful as dealing with his bull#### machines is. ####ing 99% hippie bastards.

I have the google Nexus 7 and really like it. I thought about a kindle fire, but the nexus 7 does so much more. I just downloaded the kindle app.
As for apple I have to agree with vrai. I just got my first iphone. I like it but this damn I tunes is a joke having to synch everything. Royal pain in the a**. I will be going back to an android phone when my contract is up!
You really don't. You also can't compare a 1st gen iPad to a new Android tablet.
My tablet came out in April 2011 and is still comparable to the Ipad 3, only advantage if any is the higher resolution. Biggest difference, the Iconia was $350 when I purchased it.
My question, why does it take apple so long to catch up to Android tablets and phones released over a year ago.
