I ain't gotta kiss C's azz for nuthin' ... I don't even have his digits, to demonstrate we ain't that close of friends ... I just remember hearing about a certain someone getting upset when a joke on him was taken too far not long ago.

After she gets divorced, I guess. Is she, yet?

She was divorced in January. We both decided to hold off for awhile while she pays down some of her lawyer debts and I save up money to get us started.

Agreed. I always get my ducks in a row before making any major moves/decisions. I'm all about planning and preparedness.

not saying it's the same ... just saying cut the guy some slack. he's trying to do the RIGHT thing by save money vs. blow it on something that can wait ... and while I'm an animal loving person myself, a cat CAN wait! and it's not that it makes him cheap ... it makes him smart and shows his priorities are in line. if I were his wife to be, I'd rather he save the benji's he would've spent on the cat and put it toward something else that would help "US" out now vs spend it on some cat that will (as his luck has it) run away anyway. :ohwell:

and I gotta say, if I just recarpeted my house, the LAST thing i'd want to bring into it is a newborn pet that is likely to scratch and pizz all over the carpet!

Why should I kiss his butt for it? He's the same age as me and I don't go around asking for props.

I didn't see him asking for 'recognition' of his accomplishments ... I saw him having to defend himself against the assumptions of others that he was cheap cause he wouldn't buy a cat. :ohwell:
