Top line worker money is 32.32 an hour in Indiana as I type this. I just spoke to a GM final assy and a GM stamping plant 25-30 year workers. Like I said the newbies start at half of that. Its just not what the world thinks it is.
Skilled Trades Papered Journeymen, a bunch more.
They have been bringing back skilled trade retirees to work they are hurting so bad.
Mold and electricians are in huge demand.

Is the difference in bennies? What's GM monthly nut per person for health care? Time off, other benefits?

I will have to ask what is paid per hour for there perks. Vacation with around 10 years is 3 weeks, 20 years is four weeks.
I will shoot with one of them most likely in the next few days.
My understanding is our Elevator, Iron workers, electricians, pipe fitters, Fire sprinkler, plumbers and others perks were much better all the way around, than what they get.
Elevators, we get 5 weeks at 5 years. Checks come twice a year, Jan and June 15th.

Green, red, orange - I’m not loyal to any color.
How much have Tractors gone up in the last 25 years? I bought a loaded 790 new in 2001, I can sell it today for about double or more than what I paid for it. I also have a big wheel 4450, I bought it used in the 90's. I haven't kept up with what they are worth.
Age equipment is priced as insane as PU trucks.

  • The United Auto Workers Union began a historic labor strike on Friday after there demands of a 40 percent pay rise and a four-day week were not met

If I may ...
For your consideration ...

You guys are so funny, the things you think you know.
I would bet all of you all have never even been in a manufacturing or assy plant.

Why's that? An assembler, non-skilled, repetitive worker. (Think of those "snap together" car and airplane models which require no skill). A repair, service, maintenance technician; highly skilled at many things relative to the equipment being serviced. Many times requiring complete disassembly of equipment, troubleshooting, testing, repair or replacement of parts, etc.. An assembler, low value, easily replaced. An experienced technician, high value, hard to replace.

Gotta ask, what do or did you do for a living?

Back in 20056 I was doing IT work at the National Treasury Employee's UNION ..... one day 2 of us were asked to meet with one of the Atty's about a case she was working on,

An Female employee had been REPEATEDLY warned about viewing porn sites at work, the web log files had been submitted as part of the investigation and termination, The UNION was trying to spin or excuse why this person was visiting sites with search terms such as

fisting lesbians ... among many pornographic websites

and how the Gov had been able to identify this person as the one visiting these sites
Fisting lesbians ..My friend would like to see that

That's a hell of a plan. No cost for nothin except out of network, which is 10% and has a $500 cap per family. That's probably worth around $8k-10k over the plans most employers offer.

Because this never happens in the non union strait workforce? lol

Another interesting tidbit you posted earlier,
Not once in my 24-25 years working for a Trade Union did I ever see work on a construction site that carried both Union and Non union Trades on the ssme job. Not once.
I just spoke to two other men I worked with that have another 70+ years in the Trades and neither of them ever sqw it either.
I have worked along side non union workers...they were paid thru the Davis bacon act what ever that is

This is my understanding of all federal government unions. Not allowed to collectively bargain (despite being called a collective bargaining unit), not allowed to strike, so basically they only provide additional services like eye/dental insurance, car buying, or pre-paid legal, and the only thing they are good for on the job is fighting to keep retards from getting fired.

Yeah, I have a pretty good one, but I pay almost 400 a month for health, dental and vision and towards my HSA plan. And the company pays a good chunk on top of that as well. Oh, I have a 5k deductible very year.

Why would you think it doesn't cost any money, The cost is negotiated within the Union contract.
