You are correct on that, bostons pizza is the first in MD and they have good food. I cant wait for the other places to begin construction. There will also be a hilton garden inn on site that we worked the deal for.

I think that since that article was published things have changed drastically in the way they look at numbers and the way people put out franchises. Id like to hope they would all like to be here but it just has not been the case no matter what you put in front of them. I have been working with cracker barell for 2 years now to find them a site they like. This large companies are very picky and some have a "i am the allmighty" complex.

Also today I was just at the economic development summit for charles county. I met the Governor, and learned we are now number 1 in the state for technology education, top 20 richest counties in the nation, and are 2nd for best quality of life in maryland. So I would think that any restaurant would want to be right here in the heart of it all. Just more good info i can throw at them.

I've been to Boston Pizza once, our party of about 10 all enjoyed their meals.

I did see the plans for the Hilton, they were inside the foyer of Boston Pizza showing what was going to be going into the restaurant park. I'd like to see a Logans in the there, start working on that Disney for us.

I have heard about Cracker Barrel coming for so long just about given up, I love me some Cracker Barrel, went to WVa. this past weekend stopped in Hagerstown for dinner at CB on the way home. Looking at CB's website looks like they favor interstate exits as opposed to in town type restaurants.

The gossip at my mother-in-laws beauty shop, you know how old old ladies can get, she comes home and tells me she has heard from the ladies that Cracker Barrel is coming to LaPlata and has already broken ground, I didnt come out and say:bs: but I know thats not happening.

Thanks for the updates Disney.:coffee:

Well that is not where they are looking and yes they have been more interested in highway locations. That is one of the problems with finding them space.
Logans has been looking but wer are still working on a site.
Texas roadhouse is coming to laplata in front of foodlion from my last report.
Im sure you have seen popeyes already beginning to build on the old texaco site.

I figure i would give everyone a preview of the new laplata shopping center under construction now on rosewick rd. I believe we are shooting for a late spring opening weather permitting.

Yes for Cracker Barrel to get a highway location on 301, there is nothing on either side from the county line down past Smallwood large enough for them thats not already developed.

Did you verify his figures? You would expect those numbers coming from the Governor, especially one that has lauched a major tax hike crusade.

I'm curious where we rank when it comes to tax burden?

Thanks for the information on the development plans and for the sake of us future patrons, ensure a comprehensive traffic and parking lot flow study is done!
