Ohhh, that aunt. :gotcha:

Zayre's sold Jordache? Mom had to take me all the way to Iverson Mall to get mine. :ohwell:

Remember the Sergio's?

That was waaay later in the game that Zayre's sold Jordache. We also had to go to Iverson Mall for ours. (sort of like how now Walmart or Kmart sells Champion)

Yes... and they were chained to the rack. They also sold "Oh La La Sasson"
I remember we stopped going to Iverson Mall when within one weeks time, someone shot a people who were in the walkway that went over the road and connected the two buildings and a 13 year old kid came out of Crystal Skate and was shooting up the parking lot in the middle of the day.

Remember EJ Roberts, next to Crystal Skate?

I always hated that my mom wanted to buy them bigger so I'd "grow into them". My first pair of Sergio Valente's were super baggy. :cussing:

I loved going to Petite Street to buy pants as well. Petite Street is now known as 5.7.9. Their brand of jeans were called Derriere.

579 is the only place that has jeans to fit the ballerina. She has long legs and she is skinny. she likes LEI.

I had to shop there a lot for pants because I wore a zero. Man, I'll never see those days again. :killingme

Kinney's and Thom McCann's come to mind. But as a child, because of my super narrow feet, my mom had to get my shoes from Clinton Bootery.
Kinney's was our favorite store ever! We used to get our Gas shoes there and tennis shoes that had stripes down the sides, I can't remember the brand but you could get them in any color.

I had a pair of black Gass in junior high. I thought I was the shiat.

I also had a pair of boots from Kinney's that were advertised by Barbara Mandrell. They were very popular.

I never got Chinese food from there. I used to like to go to Aloha in Smallwood, before they went buffet. Now I don't know what's there.

Is that the pair you had on the last time I saw you? :lmao:

What about Robert Hall Clothes, there was one in White Plains I believe where Eastern Motors is, and there was one in Suitland on Silver Hill Rd. which later became a Morton's Clothes.
In my younger days my parents always took us to Mortons on Pennsylvania Ave by Minnestota Ave SE for school clothes shopping.
Being the Old Hillcrest Guy, I use to play little league baseball on the land where Iverson Mall sits.

Ummm no. :nono: Those boots are long gone!

I remember Morton's. When I was in school, only the low income kids shopped there. All my clothes came from Ormonds, Mariannes, Petite Street, and Merry Go Round. :yay:

:buttkick: There weren't any Ormonds, Marriannes, and Merry Go Rounds back then, not that I'd shop in them anyway, wrong type clothes, there was no Marlow Hgts, and no Iverson Mall, you had to go into DC to shop, mainly downtown, to Hecht's, Woodies, Lansburgh and Kahn's Deparment Stores.
