We all understand that abortion wasn't banned today, right?

Libs have really ****ing dropped off the deep end over the SC decisions being handed down here lately.

:fixed:

They've been this way for decades and gotten progressively worse. It's the party of death and mental illness and drug abuse and criminality. You'd think their sane members wouldn't have allowed that, but they all either joined the cult or switched to Republican.

Remember when we had sane Democrats on here, people you could have a discussion with? Now look at our resident Lefties - they're batshit crazy sociopaths.

Power with Control

See, we could find common ground on that, I think. Having three doctors agree that this was a valid case of fetal anomaly seems reasonable in return? I go back to what VA tried to pass, which Ralphie was on board with. One doc, and the physical and metal health of the mother....

Combined with the screaming hordes in the streets yelling "On demand!!!!!" You can see where people might take pause.

The “screaming hoards” are a small vocal minority, just like the folks who have over 10k posts on here. There is a lot of middle ground to be found. I think the ones on the left who have been making policy were hesitant to make broad changes for fear of what happened last week, the swing where some states outlaw it in most cases.

Maybe now there can be a thoughtful compromise that comes out, it’ll take a lot of time, and sadly it’ll take people seeing the devastating impact of unwanted children being born into families that can’t afford them.

If you expect your social programs, Social Security, Medicare etc. to stay funded, you better hope so.

Maybe... just maybe... poor families shouldn't be having multiple babies in the first place??? :sshrug:
So how do we achieve that? Force them to abstain? Maybe make contraception free?

Maybe you think they made their bed and now they have to lie in it. But that child didn’t ask to be put in that situation, to grow up poor, unwanted, attend low achieving schools, limited career options. The cycle of poverty is so difficult to break.

And in that same vein, did that child instead ask to die?

Less than a carton of cigarettes or a case of beer.

Part of it somehow has to be willful. While the greater part of the nation is having 0-2 kids, they're often having more.
Then it's a choice.

My honest opinion?

We treat these people (as well as repeat drug offenders) like we treat repeat criminal offenders. They get X amount of chances and then that's it! If a drug abuser is on their 3rd Narcan, they don't get anymore. If someone wants their X abortion, then they get sterilized. Period! Unfortunately, there are too many people who cannot manage their lives properly and sex (and it's consequences) are 100% manageable. If they choose to willfully keep popping out babies with no means to support them then they should have that option removed as it then becomes a burden solely on others. (of course making exceptions in certain cases)

Are we prepared for the oncoming surge in babies of poor families? Are the folks of Texas ready?

There's this thing called "birth control". It's been around since forever and got really effective at preventing unwanted pregnancy in the early 1960s.

You sound about as fascist as the "moderator" here.

It might surprise you to know that people screw for pleasure. This is and will always be immutable fact. The entire reason God put us here is to screw and procreate. He made it feel good so that we do it often.

Nah. I just believe in personal responsibility :yay:

Exactly how many of these babies have you adopted? I can only guess that with your attitude towards this topic that you have the makings of the next reality TV show on TLC.

No. Let me finish the statement for you.

You believe in *forced* personal responsibility at gunpoint by your government.

This doesn't make you a good person.

I bet you are going to identify as being a small government sort of guy next, aren't ya? 🤣

To keep this in the perspective of what is being discussed, please tell me how you came to posting this. Or better yet, what would YOU propose be done in order to stem the seemingly unstoppable appetites of "breeders" from producing children that they have no interest in and no means to support therefore becoming a burden on no one else other than the tax payer.

Stop All government givaways, including all Social Security programs that have been added to SS since Aug 15 1935.
