Why do you all think it's bad for a SO - *significant* other - to go through drawers, purses, wallets, etc? I mean, if it was just a casual beau, or even someone you'd just started dating, yeah, you don't snoop through their crap. But SO indicates that they've been together for awhile, are monogamous and have a serious relationship with a future, so there should be no off-limits and no secrets. Right?

Because it's fun to pick on people on the internet.

I agree with you though, MK snopes and I don't care. I'm not a big snoper myself but if I ever feel like it it damn well better be ok.

....you find something in your SO's nightstand drawer that you don't think was previously there? Some sort of lickable massage cream?

SO insists that there is no one else but is becoming more distant and unappreciative.....thoughts?
You did the right thing coming on the internetz asking for advice from total strangers who many are just plain strange.

Now go snoop some more and see if it's open and been used then get back to us so we can speculate.

We've been together for a few months, monogamous, and have plans for more in the future. Would you rather me meet her in a bar on Friday and be married on Tuesday?

Your description of having great potential sounds like you are writing her eval. I am glad that she has been performing for you in a satisfactory manner and she may become a great asset!

I don't see a problem with it. Hubby can go through whatever he wants of mine. I don't care if it's my purse, a drawer, cabinet... go for it. I've got nothing to hide, and it's not about disrespecting someone's privacy. Private means kept safe/locked/secure.

Mr A has seen me pull some really bizaar things out of my purse. If he needs something out of it he picks it up to hand it to with 2 fingers. He did ask why the 'Just For Men' mustache and beard dye was under the sink. When I told him I used it for my eyebrows cause it was cheaper than paying the stylist he was good with it.
OP -Don't jump to conclusions.
