What do you do if.....

I have garlic breath.
Maybe she was cleaning out the medicine cabinet/underwear drawer/garage and thought the nightstand was a better location for the cream? Women like to reorganize and move stuff around all the time.

....you find something in your SO's nightstand drawer that you don't think was previously there? Some sort of lickable massage cream?

SO insists that there is no one else but is becoming more distant and unappreciative.....thoughts?
I've got to know, is it peanut butter flavored?

Why do you all think it's bad for a SO - *significant* other - to go through drawers, purses, wallets, etc? I mean, if it was just a casual beau, or even someone you'd just started dating, yeah, you don't snoop through their crap. But SO indicates that they've been together for awhile, are monogamous and have a serious relationship with a future, so there should be no off-limits and no secrets. Right?

I don't see a problem with it. Hubby can go through whatever he wants of mine. I don't care if it's my purse, a drawer, cabinet... go for it. I've got nothing to hide, and it's not about disrespecting someone's privacy. Private means kept safe/locked/secure.

:yeahthat: I don't have any secrets. Purse, drawers, etc. are all open to him any time he wants to see. Of course, he has a purse phobia and HATES when I ask him to get something out of my purse.

Oh Lord I saw this and had flashbacks to my "honest opinion and/or insight" thread and just thought :cds: DONT DO THIS TO YOURSELF, MABUS!!! These forumites are ANIMALS!!!

:lmao:

But anyway...

Have a heart-to-heart with her. Point out you've been feeling that shes distant, etc. Yall need to get that part straightened out quick.

Also, I agree with a few others that maybe she bought it and was planning on using it on you. If you're really dwelling on it, see how much is in the tube (you've already snooped). If its full, you're OK. If its like half gone... well... Maybe its hers. Maybe she got it from a Slumber Party as a door prize, etc. Maybe it was just on sale. Who knows! Just dont jump to conclusions. Go talk to HER about how you're feeling and what you're wondering.

Good luck :howdy:

hehehehe... crackers.

Or you could just say, "Look, #####, who's #### cream is this in your drawer and you'd better not lie to me or I'll kick your ass into next week!"

See how that goes over.

:yeahthat: If by chance she is upset...why is that? What is she hiding? Maybe he wasn't snooping, but he came across it by accident. Maybe she planted it there to see if he would snoop. Whose to say why people do what they do. If I found something unusual in my other halfs nightstand, I may or may not confront him. It would depend on situation. If the relationship is solid, she wouldn't be upset and have nothing to hide!!!

you could always just take it out of the drawer it was in and put it somewhere else, see if she freaks out. Keep doing this until she confesses or needs a shrink wondering why she keeps misplacing things.

why so serious
Talk to your woman. Tell her you were in her drawers and you found the cream. If this is how things are after only a few months I dread to think of what things will be like in a few years, if you can't communicate.

Are you two living together? If so, was there a move on her part to the place? I only ask because unless the drawer has recently been rearranged it may be possible that it has just been left there from in the past. And unless she had a reason to inspect or go through the contents of the drawer maybe she has just forgotten about it, especially if you have only been dating a few months. Maybe out of sight, out of mind....

No we're not living together. I live about an hour away and visit there as often as reasonable....typically once during the week and every weekend (since my work brings me to St Marys during those times).
