Hat tip to BigBlue for the Thanksgiving wishes and reminder of what used to be a tradition at my house: Alice's Restaurant and the Wizard of Oz

You beat me to it! That was the ONE family tradition me and my bro had for Thanksgiving. We'd huddle around the radio and dial the channels until we found one that was playing Alice's Restaurant.

That, and surfing. Spent more than one Thanksgiving morning out in the water. Spent at least a couple cooking hamburgers and hot dogs and drinking beer on the beach after I got through surfing. Some of the best thanksgiving days ever!

Lindsey Stirling

I've been listening to Lindsey Stirling (and Bond and Escala) all morning. This one will get you going...either that, or you need to check for a pulse!

Thanksgiving Day afternoon, and I've watched zero television. Right now, I'm listening to Grace Slick and the Great Society. For you young'ns, that's the band Grace was in before Jefferson Airplane, which was before Jefferson Starship. It's been a Grace Slick-athon for most of the early afternoon.

This proports to be from the last performance by the Jefferson Airplane's lead singer, Signe Toly Anderson, with her signature song, "Chauffer Blues." There is an album that was released in 2010 called Jefferson Airplane: Live at The Fillmore Auditorium 10/15/66 Signe's Farewell. According to Wikipedia, she sang this and an encore, and the next night, the band performed with Grace Slick; not missing a beat. I haven't listened to enough of Signe to tell if her overall style is similar to Grace's, but at least in this song it is.

The album "Jefferson Airplane Takes Off," with founding member, lead singer Signe Toly Anderson.

Leon Russell, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Doug Kershaw...all of them high, Leon Russell drunker than a sack of owl farts.

It may not be THE best version of Orange Blossom Special out there, and there are many, but it is certainly one of the most entertaining.

BOP, How did you get the picture link over to the forums?

sunnyside. Go to the YouTube webpage for the link you want.

Look up top at the web address and just copy the stuff after the "="

In this case "SEb8tuYhDBI"

Start your post. Then paste the stuff you copied into the text field you are typing in. Once it's there left click that and highlight it. Then look up and you should see a red square with the word "Tube" in it. Click that and it should place youtube links around the text you copied and pasted.

There is a testing forum listed on the bottom of the main forum page you can go to to play with this till you get it figured out.
