happy to be living
We have been working in the yard and on outdoor projects all day. The temperature dropped quickly and I am grateful to come in the house to a wonderful smell and hopefully a wonderful meal! Hubby's going to make some cornbread and that should add to the wonderful aroma and warm the house up!

Not really a dinner entre'e...more of a horse's doover....but my first batch of smoked oysters for this season, 4 stuffed full quarts, is in the brine, where they'll reside for 40 hours.

I had magic mushrooms and barbecued meatballs at a Christmas party last night. Those mushrooms were amazing. Hostess said it was a a stick of butter, lots of mushrooms and Hidden Valley Ranch cooked in a crock pot. I kid you not, they were delicious and all the women folk were crowded around that pot for more. I swear I saw one of them snap at her husband when he tried to take a spoonful.

Last night, St Jame's loaded pizza and a lovely red wine.

Tonight, spaghetti (the grandsboyos are here, and spaghetti they will eat). Another glass of that beautiful red will be included for grandma.

Checked the Brussel sprouts this am. They are loaded with gorgeous sprouts, will try to pick some tomorrow.

Half pound burgers smothered in shredded cheddar topped with lettuce, sour cream, and salsa. A side of Tostitoes reduced sodium because we're eating healthy now. 😆
