Maybe.....but there's always dessert.Your Husband must be skinny and very healthy.
Where did you find bay scallops? I look for them every time I go into the grocery stores - Harris Teeter said they get them once in a blue moon - other grocery stores say they never get them. ThanksBacon wrapped bay scallops, Maine lobster tails in garlic and lemon butter, served with buttered farfalle pasta.
Chief's regularly has scallops for sale. Not sure if they are "bay scallops" but they are always excellent.Where did you find bay scallops? I've had them and they are good. They're sea scallops though. Bay scallops are really small and sweeter than sea scallops. I think they're probably not regularly harvested because of the size. We're going to Chiefs next Saturday for oysters. First time I've had them this year!Chief's regularly has scallops for sale. Not sure if they are "bay scallops" but they are always excellent.
Fresh brussels sprouts are sooo good. I used to be able to harvest them in NY even after it snowed.Roasted a whole chicken on the grill outside. Some leftover creamed corn and fresh off the stem brussels from a forumite, baked with EVOO, butter salt and garlic.
Sorry MB...we used to sell some back when we did 10 hogs in one long weekend. Now we've cut back to finishing just what all the folks in the "team" want for personal consumption. Are you selling any of your meat? I would love to buy some!

Yeah I've seen them in Walmart as well. Frozen scallops all seem to have a soapy taste to them. I've followed all the instructions as to how to get rid of that but none of it works, I still taste chemicals and soap. The only sea scallops I've had that are really good are from Harris Teeter and Crabknockers in Leonardtown but they were purchased thawed out. Doubt seriously that they were fresh, maybe just not frozen in the same method as the frozen ones you get off the shelf. I love shell fish but I want it to taste like the water it came from.I've seen bay scallops in the frozen seafood section at Weis.
