Mommy Dearest's spaghetti. I realized about 1/2 way through my bowl that the tanginess was caused by a lack of salt. She uses ultra-low sodium everything now-a-days. I think the original recipe was listed on the side of the tomato sauce cans back in the day. Either that or in a Good Housekeeping magazine. A healthy pinch was all it needed. :yay:

Tried out La Vela Italian restaurant at Zahnisers in Solomons yesterday. Another nice option on Solomons Island. Everything fresh and hot on a slow December Sunday. We were there around 2:30, not crowded but still good service. Very good scallops, shrimp, and lump crabmeat with Fettucine.
Wife and I went there over the summer for the 1st time and were very pleased with everything. Putting it on our rotation.

Meatloaf, stuffing, gravy and green beans. Later a little french vanilla ice cream. Ice cream guarantees a good sleep.

Made meatballs too, for subs tomorrow with mozzarella and parmesan on Martin's hoagie rolls.

I need to put that on my menu for this weekend. Haven’t had chicken salad in a while.
If you had come to ladies night last week, you could have enjoyed my wife’s (my mother’s recipe) chicken salad. It’s been a hit for the last 20 years. Maybe next year...
