When YOU open your business and not wait for Hogan (he is in no rush anyway). My business is opening on that day. Yes, safety procedures will be practiced. We alredy had strict cleaning procedures before all this anyway....

I encourage all businesses affected to do the same. Civil disobedience.

I am thankful I got to see Heaven and Hell perform twice before Dio passed away. Was suppose to go see Ozzy June 6 and then Mega Death the week after but cancelled. Now waiting to see if Priest will be cancelled in Sept. Thinking there is a good chance that one will still be a go.

I've seen Black Sabbath several times over the years with Ozzy, Dio, Ian Gillan, Tony Martin and Ray Gillen at the mike.

Baltimore will drag us down, so will HOGAN LET the more rural counties open up first? Or will he go full PC?

My guess is that they are worried that if they allow businesses in the more rural counties to open back up but not those in the more densely inhabited cities/counties at the same time, people from those places would descend on the more rural, open counties, bringing their germs with them. It is aggravating, because otherwise a “one size fits all” approach really doesn’t make sense for an entire state.

Or be called a racist move since more rural areas aren't as ethnically diverse as the big cities are.

I just hate PC

this lockdown has no scientific roots, (hint- they have no clue how its spread, just that a cough can spread it) its all driven by who can be the most PC

Maryland will reopen when Hogan says so. Interesting that the states shut themselves down (feds didn't have the authority to do it) and yet they want the feds to pay for it.
Make up your minds governors, either you have states rights or you are permanently giving control to the federal government.

I've heard a lot of the same phrases over and over lately - we've all heard "flatten the curve" and "stop the spread". The idea being conveyed is, get ahead of the disease until we have a handle on it.

But I hear another one almost as often - "moving the goalposts". Because it would seem many in government now have a NEW agenda - "no reopening until it's all gone".

You know, in ancient days, they had something called a siege. It was when an attacking army found themselves outside a very well fortified walled city that they had no means of penetrating. So - they would just camp outside the city and starve them out. No one in, no one out, and if the city wasn't well stocked with supplies, eventually they would surrender rather than starve to death.

But it also happened often that the besieging army would quit. THEY might run out of supplies sooner - or be unprepared for the heat (such as the siege at Masada) and men would lose heart and begin to mutiny or desert.

When THAT happened, the most efficacious course of action is to charge out of the city when their numbers are at their weakest.

Because you'd be seriously stupid to wait until the very last man left.

We don't have to wait until it's all gone. We just have to do what we set out to do - wait it out until we're ready to deal with it, because it is NOT EVER going to be all gone.

Not a bad analogy, I think its more like exterminating rats or roaches, you are never going to get rid of them all, just manage them at as well as possible.

Another good analogy :yay:

I think of it as trying to eradicate every last mosquito on earth because some people get malaria.

Anyway, we should all be in agreement that our politicians are either A) idiots; or B) fascist overlords. I lean toward B. And I hate meaningless buzzphrases like "flatten the curve". I'm also not a big fan of an epidemiologist deciding our economic policy.

Oh, and the libprog media needs to be destroyed.

Baltimore and DC are both still on the upswing.
No, I don't think he's going to have a different policy for less densely populated counties.
If he wants to run for another statewide or national office, he's got to keep the two biggest blocks happy.
I would not be surprised if patients from DC and Baltimore weren't sent to St. Mary's
A lot of temporary facilities going up around the hospital in Leonardtown.

I think St. Marys and Southern Calvert are going to see a huge upswing in virus cases as infected people come south for treatment, and their families come to visit.

The only thing that is going to stop the virus is a vaccine or everyone has gotten the virus and developed natural immunitity.
