I don't know if this helps but the guys I've dated I met in all different places: bars, stores, work, school, church, pool halls, parks, libraries, even elevators. But my husband I met on match.com and couldn't be happier. I've been playing match maker for his friend Chris and see how suprisingly difficult it is to be on the other end - looking for a "good woman" (or "another marianne" as they call it). I think it takes a lot of time to find the right person, especially as we get older. And I'm pretty sure that as soon as you determine you'll never find her, that's when she'll show up.
