Who wants a kitten?

Adopt me please !
I'm certainly willing to send people your way that are interested in kittens - I think they are adorable ! Thankfully this 1 boy is all I have to place right now, so any kitten requests I get can be for you or whoever fosters them.

OK, I haven't heard from Roxy. Anybody want a kitten? I have 1 spoken for. It's being picked up tomorrow night. After that, I am taking the others to the foster home if nobody else wants one.....

working on it - I just can't take a kitten which is why I have to place the one I am fostering - that's MY rule - never accept a kitten as MINE as they are SO adoptable (as some people ONLY want kittens) and I respect and understand that.

My feelers are out to find a home or homes for the two you have left. :buddies:

These 2 are still available and I am taking over as foster, however they really need homes they can not stay with me furrever as they say. I will be working to get them in for medical. They are free before medical and after they are the cost of the medical bill. They will be foster in La Plata off Rt 6, if you are interested I will meet you locally.
I hope to get pictures tonight.

Thanks for taking the 2 kittens last night.

Got a report from the woman that adopted the one on Saturday. It was the "mean" one in that it would hiss when you would try to pick it up, but once you touched it, it was fine. None of them have ever tried to bite or scratch. Anywho....

Kitten, now known as "Pepsi" has fully joined the family. He no longer hides. Plays with toys. Plays with his human toys. Sleeps on the bed.

If the "mean" one turns out this nice after only a few days, just think how wonderful a pet companion the other two will be.

Kitten Deal - done right...=) I think we should change your name to kitten pusher 1. :p

They had to stay in the crate a little longer then I would have liked, but they did fine. They are now in the kitty condo in the basement. They ate their food like no one had feed them in months, maybe years. The one with more white is more shy and I had to take him out of the crate. We put a night light on for them, but I still heard a few small cries of loneliness. Until they are vetted I just can't let them around the other pets. So that will be on my schedule too. :whistle:

I hope to get pictures tonight, but it will most likely be tomorrow.

These are 2 of the cutiest Tux kittens I have seen and they are going to be so loving. For all that they have been through and they still were happy to see the hubby this morning.

sounds like the cat is in a good home. Hopefully to be kept indoors where it belongs.

NEVER give a cat to a feral cat place, these people are usually nut jobs and will release the cat in the wild again at some future date.

I think she means more the people that watch and help decrease feral colonies. They catch, vet and release back.

Some cats/kittens can't be homed because they are too wild so they do this.

These kittens are not that wild, they are loving and need homes. I was hoping to vet them before placement, but I have hit a snag. For now they are available to a good home that will keep them inside, have them vetted.

I recently gave 12 wonderful kitties to warm fun loving families, so I will be able to take in a few more once I get a couple of the rooms cleaned up.

What on Gods green Earth are you talking about? It's people like you, spouting out facts that are nothing but fiction, that can destroy these animals lives.

I know very little about animal trafficking/sheltering and I've never heard the term "feral cat place".

From the sound of it, it sounds like a shelter for feral cats to be kept until they are adopted.

That sounds absolutely horrifying, and I can't really see anyone adopting feral cats, so I'm guessing that's not what it really is.


So I figured that asking the question may shed some light on what it really is.

"Feral Cat Places" are actually managed feral colonies. They can be as simple as the older gentlemen we helped last year who had a farm and he loves cats but had too many. We helped him get them all trapped, spayed and neutered and he continues to feed and care for them but they won't reproduce.

Most of the feral colonies are somewhat contained, they are fed, don't roam and cause problems and best of all they don't make more kittens.
