Words From Elon Musk

One of the latest positions is "What? No, Twitter has no left bias, they only stop hate."

Have you seen FBs ads showing the army of people keeping us "safe"? In a FB group devoted to Warhawk, a game that features both jeeps and tanks, I offered to drive over someone with a tank. That comment was deleted as violating community policies :) I asked to let the group admins, themselves people who enjoy running over a squishy from time time.

He shared the FB notification to him of that request. Boiled down to "Sure, you can allow that post, but you should know that when group admins approve posts that violate standards, its a risk that the whole group will face consequences. "

That's obvious, but keep you off Twitter? That removes you from the modern town square.
Twitter is by no means the modern town square. It is still privately owned. He (Elon) has invited all to be his guests. But that was his choice, not an entitlement. The town square is a public place. You should have freedom of speech at the town square.

What planet are you living on? Just wondering?

Yeah I am going to have to disagree .... perhaps NOT in the beginning, however Twitter has become the digital public square.

Target: Musk

I defend people and others in lawsuits over bogus sex claims, and I can smell a rat. But this is not just a rat – this is a New York City alley full of them. Do I believe that Elon whipped out his SpaceX love rocket to some tart? No. Musk can get chicks the old-fashioned way – by having a lot of money.

Look, the guy dated Amber Heard and survived with his throat unslit and his linens undefiled. This trollop's trumped-up charges are not going to take him down. The fact is that what my mother – the judge – told me after she swore me in as a lawyer in 1994 remains true: "Everyone lies." Allegations in sex lawsuits are as reliable as Jen Psaki, and even bullSchiff claims get settled.

But the truth is not the point. Obedience is. They are terrified of Elon Musk because his money – combined with his iconoclasm – makes him dangerous. The thought that Musk would take over Twitter and allow free speech, thereby utterly undoing their last stranglehold on social media, filled the unelite elite with a cold terror. They know their ideas are garbage; they can only keep power by ensuring they control the marketplace of ideas. And they control it by ensuring it is not a marketplace at all but a Supermax prison where wrongthink is locked away in solitary with a lonely cellmate named Ox.

Elon Musk is threatening to bust their info monopoly, so they will do whatever they can to break him first. And they want you to know he's being broken because if the richest guy in the universe can't withstand them, what hope do we peons have?

The Malthusian case for treating human beings as if they were a disease was popularized in the 1970s. Abortion was no small part of the early environmentalist movement. The late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wasn’t joking when she infamously claimed that she always assumed Roe v. Wade was “about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.” The now-debunked fearmongering of “The Population Bomb” was folded into existing attitudes popularized by eugenicist Margaret Sanger, who believed that life under difficult circumstances wasn’t worth living at all. Well, if you happen to be a minority.

An iteration of this outlook remains popular among contemporary abortion advocates. “Arkansas already struggles to support vulnerable children,” Dana Bash recently told Gov. Asa Hutchinson. “Nearly 1 in 4 children in Arkansas lives in poverty. More than 4,600 kids are already in your state’s overloaded foster care system. Do you really think that your state is prepared to protect and care for even more children if abortion does become illegal there?” The left has anesthetized the abortion issue to the extent that a television personality feels comfortable arguing that fewer “children” born to the lower classes would be beneficial for society.

Poor people have always had more kids, and yet America has consistently gotten wealthier. There is little correlation between poverty and fertility, as some of the wealthiest places are also some of the densest in the world. A baby born in Lagos has a far better chance of ending up in poverty than a child born in Seoul despite both having virtually the same density. Certainly, capitalist nations like our own have an abundance of resources. Setting aside the economic benefits of having more children, they also help create more vibrant communities and a more dynamic nation.

Cheers to Elon Musk for finally saying ‘no’ to whiny, entitled millennial babies

A few days ago, employees of spaceflight company SpaceX released an open letter criticizing their CEO Elon Musk. Less than 48 hours later, at least five employees who orchestrated the letter were fired.

Good.

The dam is breaking. The “listen to meeeeee” millennials, who have had an overblown influence on corporations, and on our culture, are finally being told to sit down and be quiet. It is very much overdue.

But isn’t Elon Musk supposed to be a “free speech absolutist?,” screech his critics. As I explain to my small children, freedom of speech under the First Amendment means the government can’t arrest you for calling the president a doofus.

It doesn’t mean you can do the same to your boss and expect to remain employed. (Similarly, you can’t tell your wife she’s ugly and then plead “Free speech!” when she gets mad and leaves you for the pool boy.)

Elon Musk Responds to Donald Trump, Says DeSantis Will Easily Win in 2024 Against Biden

lon Musk responded to former President Donald Trump’s claim that Musk is “another bull—t artist.” Trump was referring to Musk backing out of the Twitter deal and saying Musk voted for him, although Musk says that he voted Republican for the first time in 2022 for Texas Rep. Mayra Flores.

Musk said the deal was off, citing Twitter’s “bot” problem, but this could be far from over, as Musk’s deal might be settled in court. Trump said during his rally in Anchorage, Alaska:

“Elon. Elon. Elon. He’s not going to buy Twitter … And where did you hear that before? From me … He’s got himself a mess, I’ve looked at his contract … Ya know, Elon says he’s never voted Republican, but I didn’t know that because he told me that he voted for me, so he’s another bull—t artist.”

It is unclear whether Musk voted for Trump, Biden, or at all in 2020; however, he did mention that he voted for former President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012.

Another reason Trump could have called him out is that Musk noted that he is leaning towards and will likely vote for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in 2024 if he chooses to run for President.

Musk responded today to Trump on Twitter:

“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset. Dems should also call off the attack – don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency.”

“I wanted to reach out personally to share my motivation in acquiring Twitter,” Musk’s tweeted statement began. “There has been much speculation about why I bought Twitter and what I think about advertising. Most of it has been wrong.” Musk then framed his motivation as free speech. “The reason I acquired Twitter is because it is important to the future of civilization to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner, without resorting to violence,” he said. “There is currently great danger that social media will splinter into far right wing and far left wing echo chambers that generate more hate and divide our society.”

Musk has repeatedly expressed support for free speech and concern about its suppression on social media before. Some continue to be wary of the billionaire, however, as his recent vocal support for demands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) — which runs an authoritarian surveillance state — and his Neuralink brain chips seem to indicate Musk’s contradictory views.

Musk specifically slammed media in his statement. “In the relentless pursuit of clicks, much of traditional media has fueled and catered to those polarized extremes, as they believe that is what brings in the money, but, in doing so, the opportunity for dialogue is lost,” he said. “That is why I bought Twitter. I didn’t do it because it would be easy. I didn’t do it to make more money. I did it to try to help humanity, whom I love. And I do so with humility, recognizing that failure in pursuing this goal, despite our best efforts, is a very real possibility.”

But Twitter is not going to become “a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences,” Musk clarified. He said the platform would be adhering to “the laws of the land” and will be “warm and welcoming to all.” His vision for Twitter is to make it a place “where you can choose your desired experience according to your preferences, just as you can choose, for example, to see movies or play video games ranging from all ages to mature.”
