Yep that is a nasty road, I see college kids walking, running, and all that on that road all the time, and all I can think is, S#it one day someone is gunna run someone over. There is one girl that runs down it almost everyday. Shes a brave one!

I live off of Route 235 in Dameron and every day when I put on my blinker to turn into my driveway, it seems a sign for everyone behind me to speed up and pass me on the shoulder of the road. Never thinking that there are driveways on that side of the road as well....Every day I get scared to death that some kid is gonna be coasting down their driveway on their bike and get smashed by some fool passing on the shoulder. It IS ILLEGAL!!!! STOP IT!!!!

Got one for everyone. Up north on 5 where that dump truck ran into that car full of kids because he couldnt stop. They pulled out in front of him and he hit his breaks HARD you could see his tracks. He couldnt stop....There was a memorial there too. Like I said If i were that family I wouldnt put that there for people to see. I for one felt bad for the driver of that truck who had to hit that car because he couldnt stop. They didnt look and pulled out and got hit. Their fault.

Stupid Stupid Stupid
I felt real bad for the driver how hit Karlie. He even quit after that because he felt so bad. I felbad for the poor guy it wasn't his fault and he even came in after her service and I told him that he should keep his job becuse he didn't do anything wrong but he didn't.

You don't seriously believe that a waitressing gig at Outback is going to be a "meal ticket to life", do you? By the way, I loved the pun.
For her it was. She made 300-400 dollars a night when she worked.

This is true.

Funny.
I had some woman hit me at the light at willows where the turn lanes are funny. After she got outa the car she told the cop, she saw the light turn yellow and just hit the gas and didnt look because she was watching the light. She didnt see me in the intersection. I was so pissed!

Why do people feel like what they have to do is so important that they cant wait through the light?

People should not be doing 70 down that road. You cant see once you get near the end. When i'm coming home I wait for someone to come around that corner behind the trees and run right into me because they are driving too fast and cross into my lane.

Oh and another thing.....When traffic is bad in the morning and afternoon....At 235 & 4 and at Gate 1 & 235. People cant wait through a light and block the intersection. Why is that? Why would you want to sit in the middle of an intersection?

That is another thing I hate. Like they are going on base so, of course, it is more imperative for them than it is for me!!! :bigwhoop:

I'm used to it. I just sit and wait. It's only a few seconds. It's not gonna' make me late. Unlike some people, I allow myself enough time to do everything I need to do before being somewhere on time.

Once again let me express that I am sorry over the loss of her life. At this point it is irrelevent as to what could have or should have been. She paid the ultimate price for her actions that day. Again as I said before the memories are what we will carry with us in our lives not the memorials on the side of the roads.

I think we should all recognize that people express themselves in different ways. If any roadside memorial brings peace to those who knew the victim(s) then I'm not one to criticize their grieving methods.

Seems to me that the Chaney folks maintain the property around their intersection and that particular memorial pretty well.

I do value that everyone has their own views and opinions. It is not possible to please everyone all the time. :flowers:

I recognize that people grieve in different ways. I recognize when people break the law. I recognize that there are places to lay our loved ones to rest. I recognize the trash on the side of the road.

I am one to criticize their methods. It's not like this road side memorial thing has been around forever. It's new.

People used to have the common decency to mourn in private. Now they want the whole world to see how sad they are. I equate them to attention whores.
