What if that was the plan the whole time. Send it so far out to left field that those who previously had issues with the LGBs end up siding with them, then when the brouhaha around the TQIA+ people settles down the LGBs will be considered normal.

The Hill regretfully reported that North Carolina’s supermajority Republican Legislature voted Wednesday to override Democrat Governor Roy Cooper’s veto of three bills that will: (1) ban genitally-mutilating health care for children, (2) stop biological men from competing on girls’ sports teams, and (3) sharply limit classroom instruction on atypical sexual orientations and ‘gender identity,’ whatever that is.
Of course, that’s not exactly how the Hill described the terrific bills, but I digress.
Last month, North Carolina’s woke Governor rudely vetoed all three of the bills, opining in his veto message that “Republicans are serving up a triple threat of political culture wars.” So you know where Roy Cooper stands.
The new laws take effect immediately.
Democrats were beside themselves. State Democrat Representative Marcia Morey complained that, “This is just a mean-spirited bill.” Mean-spirited is a technical term. She added, as if she thought it were a hard-hitting point, “We’re not talking about world-class athletes.” I guess regular girls don’t deserve the same chances that “world class athletes” do. Behold the elitist instinct inherent in woke establishmentarianism.
The counter-revolution continues. Equality, Liberty, Anti-establishmentarianism! Somewhere, a spelling bee nods approvingly.

The New York Times ran a highly-encouraging story from the counter-revolution yesterday, headlined, “Teacher Is Fired for Reading Book on Gender Identity in Class.”
The book in question is titled “My Shadow is Purple,” and as is obvious from its cover, above, it depicts a little boy imagining his shadow is dressed in a tutu. Obviously he’s thinking he must be a girl.
The Times never mentions that unpleasant fact, apart from admitting the book is generally about “gender identity.”
What happened was, Cobb County’s Board of Education, located in a suburb northwest of Atlanta, voted 4-3 on Thursday — on partisan lines — to approve its superintendent’s recommendation to terminate teacher Katherine Rinderle’s contract, for disobeying clear instructions not to use transsexual materials in the classroom.
But according to the New York Times, Rinderle was unfairly fired by radical rightwing reactionaries just for reading a few paragraphs from a perfectly innocuous book mostly about colors, although it did admit “the book centers on a gender nonbinary theme.”
A tutu isn’t “nonbinary,” assuming I understand what “nonbinary” means. And I readily admit I might not understand the term.
Anyway, more progress in the counter-revolution.

Michael Knowles Pulls Back The Curtain On Trans-Identifying Ukrainian Military Spokesman
A spokesman for the Ukrainian military is a trans-identifying American who once ran for office on a marijuana-based platform and called for a “perpetual revolution” to “crush” American society, Daily Wire host Michael Knowles revealed Friday.
Michael “Sarah” Cirillo became a journalist before joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in October 2022, and eventually got promoted to the rank of sergeant before becoming an AFU spokesman. Knowles revealed that Cirillo began “to explore transition” two months after marrying his wife. He eventually divorced his wife, admitting that “she carried this secret in silence and in pain.”
“In 2018, he admitted that his many troubles followed a need for ‘constant stimulation,’” Knowles wrote, citing some of Cirillo’s Instagram posts. “Running toward natural disasters and civil wars wasn’t enough because ‘it all felt like a game’ that he could ‘leave & resume life as a white male in the greatest country in the world.'”
