A missed call, just one?? Are you sure? It sounds to me there is a LOT more going on than one missed phone call.. this sounds like the straw the broke his back, but I'd say there was a LOT more than one missed phone call.. That sounds like one broken frustrated parent, totally at a loss at what to do with/ about a child he thinks is going bad.

listening to the message it sounds like a VERY frustrated dad, that wants nothing more than have his daughter grow up to be a good person, and something is going wrong, and it's out of his control.

I've gone off on my kids any number of times - several of you have heard the Drill Instructor story But this is just WAY over the top and abusive.

We don't know what he is going through. Not saying it was right or wrong just saying everybody is human and can be pushed to their limits. Maybe he spoke to her on different occasions (nicely) trying to prevent her from slipping away (taking sides) and that he is now realizing he is losing her through her choice in not taking his calls and he can't handle it.

Do we know any more info on what led to him being upset with her yet?

You never know what the call was about. Why he was trying to get in touch with her. Maybe she had done something wrong, minor even. He didnt mention it in the message but neither did he mention her name. But, he made mention to Kim not caring about what the child does so that could be a clue. I doubt he is flying out there to only get on her to answer her phone.

Suspicion of Domestic Abuse

Alec Baldwin was never arrested for domestic abuse. Again, one nut case wants to make another nut case look bad, so she screams domestic abuse knowing that it's a hot biscuit issue.

We're not in either one of their shoes, so I don't know how you can convict him of being an abusive parent.

I don't follow Hollywood gossip except when it's forced down my throat like this one was this morning. If this guy was a truck drive calling his daughter in CT from a drop off in TX we would never have heard about it.. and if we did, you'd just assume.. "A truck drivers daughter, she probably deserved it!" I don't know the past between him and his wife, though I can assume his wife's name is Kim from the above posts.. I'm judging everything just from the phone call, and I hear frustration.. total and utter frustration.

How many people in here have babies daddies that don't even bother to call EVER!? He not only calls, but is willing to travel across the country to see her for ONE day to talk to her.

Who knows if Kim dropped the tape off at the media (someone in the house, a friend, whatever) might have done it. You know there are actually people out in the world that feel so much compassion for their friends/family that they would actually do it themselves. Not everyone is a Sociopath. :shrug:

Is it wrong to talk to your child that way especially over voicemail? YES. But if you have a court order to not to speak to mom which is sounds like they have alot of court issues then it came out in the voicemail. Let's just say one thing. Parents not able to get along will really ruin and make children jaded.

I thought it was a call to the daughters cell phone.. no tape that I'm aware of. Recorded to the phone, nobody heard except the people with access to the phone.. Then they have to download the message from the phone to hand it to the media. It wasn't an accident.

LOL! I think you've lost your mind. I tell you what- if you end up being right on this matter (if we ever know anything resembling the truth), I will publicly apologize on this forus to you. An abuser can be very abusive without ever leaving a physical mark. As a matter of fact, I'd prefer to have my ass kicked than to be verbally abused by somebody I thought loved and/or cared for me. Walking up and punching me in the stomach feels a hell of a lot better.

Not having a conviction for abuse means nothing to me. I can hear the abusive/degrading tone in his voice.
