Another Bridge Jumper this Early Tuesday Morning

Why? so that the next time somebody wants to do this they think "I can't jump off the bridge, so I'll just run head on into a school bus at 90 MPH." Or they could do like the guys in Atlanta and let the rescue workers be exposed to quarts of AIDS infested blood.

The bridge isn't causing people to jump. It's just the method they choose. Fix the people, not the bridge.

Suicide is pretty common, we just don't usually hear about it unless it is spectacular.

Taking a page out of the gun-grabbers notebook.

Ban bridges, it's for the children.

I came across the bridge at 410a.m. this morning and there was a maroon minivan parked on the top. I stopped behind it then decided to procede around. For all I know, the individual could've thrown me off and furthermore I could be tied to a crime scene. When I arrived at work my coworker stated that he contacted MSP and a Search and Rescue Team was notified and enroute. I hear sirens going down 4 now...

What is this the national pastime down there ......... bridge diving, like the cliff divers, you used to see on Wide World of Sports ??

I am a member of his family. Contrary to what everyone who has something NEGATIVE to say... He had no signs of anything being wrong. He was a wonderful person and before you say the negative things that you are saying just imagine someone in your family-IT COULD HAPPEN TO ANYONE...We had no reason to think he would have done this. needless to say we are still in shock.

Thank you I deeply appreciate that.
I can only imagine what you must be going through right now. Just remember to thicken your skin. Your family member chose a very public way of doing himself in and now he's put you all in a very public position having to deal with it. May you somehow find peace at some point.

Looking for a place to talk without fear of being known, a place to work out your feelings..all of them and perhaps a place to find some kind of understanding to a loss that you will never understand.
Talk if you want or just hang out. No one here will judge you. (honestly)
And we have a warped sense of humor that makes it easier to deal with real life.
Take care, do what you can to heal and find peace, not a reason, to this horribloe loss. My sincere condolences. :flowers:
