"The recent suicides were not a first for either bridge.
At least 12 people have jumped from the nearly 30-year-old Thomas Johnson bridge, according to archived news reports. Only four survived. A 42-year-old St. Leonard woman took her own life last October when she dropped 140 feet from the center span into the Patuxent River. A 35-year-old Waldorf woman plunged to her death from the 135-foot-high Nice bridge in July 2005, four years after a Bryantown woman survived a leap into the Potomac River. No information on how many people have jumped off the bridge during its 67-year history could be found."

I am a member of his family. Contrary to what everyone who has something NEGATIVE to say... He had no signs of anything being wrong. He was a wonderful person and before you say the negative things that you are saying just imagine someone in your family-IT COULD HAPPEN TO ANYONE...We had no reason to think he would have done this. needless to say we are still in shock.

I can only imagine what you must be going through right now. Just remember to thicken your skin. Your family member chose a very public way of doing himself in and now he's put you all in a very public position having to deal with it. May you somehow find peace at some point.Spicober said:
