If I keep up the smoking, cow eating and cussing - I should live to a very ripe old age - and just crotchety enough to get away with murder!
Then you can sit on the porch with me and Christy and make rude comments to passersby :yay:

I once saw someone with their deer tied across the spare tire of their Jeep Wrangler.....but my favorite ever was the person that had a deer on the trailer behind their 4-wheeler...and the deer's head was tied up to the wheeler so it looked like the deer was looking back at the traffic.

I still don't see what's so gross about seeing someone sawing off antlers....it's not like it's bloody. But when you're in the ag field you're bound to see some interesting things. I sometimes forget that not everyone is used to seeing animals like that.

No I thought I knew why the head was off of the one.....but I now know if it has been hit it is highly unlikely someone else came along and wanted the head as a trophy. I do not know why I thought that? I just did. I really did not know what rattling was either. My neighbor rides around with antlers attached to the front of his 4 wheeler so thats another good use for them I guess??? I dunno...one thing for sure is I am now a little more at ease and kind of tickled at all the posts which made me kind of release some of my emotions that may have come across a little to dramatic :drama: It was just gross to see is all.

:peace: I'll take back the criticism, then. Sometimes when reading someone's comments, it's hard to tell if it's just a bit of venting, or they are really nutty and :jameo: about something.

After all, the real danger on the road is not cut-up deer, it's the flattened skunks. I had to go past a fresh one on G.M. road a few days ago that put a real funk in my car all the way to work.

pretty sure the headless deer was a result of a full on collision with a rather large truck... seen it once you 5 north of Hughesville... dump truck, full speed, right into the deer's head... of course the only remains was a head... I doubt any hunters in the area would just hunt for the mount... I don't hunt but I know that's absurd...

Could you imagine seeing a dog dragging around a deer head? :killingme

My dogs did it. I have woods surrounding my house and one of them drug the head up out of the woods. My son said both dogs were playing tug of war with it and then left in laying in the front yard. It was a lovely sight to see pulling in the driveway.

Stop Sheltering those kids. Get them involved in the outdoors.

People who hunt and fish value the environment. Help connect them.

Any of them have antlers? :lmao:
Saw a buck on the side of the road yesterday with a nice tall 4 point rack. If I'd had a saw, I woulda stopped to cut off the antlers. Done it before. A woman I work with takes the antlers and makes stuff with them (cane handles, knife handles and the like). WHy throw them in the landfill if they can be recycled?

What would be the best kind of saw to use? Hacksaws take so long. By the time you are done there are a dozen curious motorists watching you. :lmao:
How about a battery powered sawsall? Maybe large bolt cutters?
