The problem with that thought process is, wether he brake checked you or just plain ol' came to a dead stop in the road in front of you; had you hit him in the ass-end, you would be liable. THAT'S the part that SUCKS.

That, and the one's that cut you off to get; let's say; from the far right lane, to the left turn lane, are the reasons why I want to get my hands on a dash camera. So, I have video proof when some dipsh*t cuts me off and I push him down the road for doing so.

I started hunting for a camera system for the truck the other day for that exact reason.
I have one that sits on the back of the Travel trailer so I can see behind me when I tow, but its black and white (im cheap) and it does not record.
I found one that has 4 cameras with it, in color and records. Im thinking about that one

and yet, it is also clearly written that the posted speed is the maximum.
everything you post that shows some law or rule on lane blocking is valid only up to the exact posted limit.

I agree, I never stated it was law to move out of the way I said it was a courtesy thing. The lady in the article was going below the posted speed limit.

Dude, read what he wrote. He said he hit his brakes.

It deals with MD law. It's a law firm in Glenn Bernie; however, it doesn't lend any further support in favor of the ticket that was written in this case. Two MPH below the max speed limit is within the margin of error on a speedometer.
Yea the new link worked. I'm of the same opinion that this ladies ticket will be thrown out.

First I found this one:
Agptek - Car Kit Bundle Dual Lens DVR Camera Recorder w/ TFT Mount Holder - GD26UPCA
Found it online; so I go in the store and ask if they had one. They looked at me like I was speaking French. Apparently, it's an 'online only' item.

THEN, I found this one:
Amazon.com: Car DashBoard Video Camera Vehicle Video Accident Recorder DVR - 1080P Full HD Resolution Video, 2.0" LCD Display: Electronics

So, the one from AMAZON.com is cheaper; it looks less "bulky" and it records in 1080P vice 720.

I just don't have an AMAZON.com account; OR a credit card. Sucks they don't take checks.

Which is not illegal unless you are going 10+ slower than what's posted. She will win her case.

Probably she will win but the law does not include the 10mph rule. It only states that a person was impeding safe traffic flow and that is open to interpretation.

The law does include the 10 mph rule. That's what she was cited for (and failing to move right) which is not a law unless you're going 10 under.

"You can drive in the left lane in Maryland as long as you are doing the speed limit, or not impeding by going 10 mph under the speed limit," Sgt. Rob Moroney told News4's Darcy Spencer.

Moroney said the woman was cited under a code section that deals with driving 10 mph or more under the speed limit. A different part of the law deals with drivers who impede traffic. Md. Woman Cited for Driving Too Slowly in Left Lane | NBC4 Washington

Dude, read what he wrote. He said he hit his brakes.

Having read the post a second time, I see that I misunderstood the intent of the statement. The hot knife through butter analogy was not intended as an act of aggression; rather an observation, had the Prius come to a full stop.

Like I said, she probably will get off. I am sure this has been a major inconvienience for her though.

go to paypal, you can set up payment through them (secure server,, look for the HTTPS before submitting info) anyway, you can set up payment with your checks routing numbers. Then you go to amazon and use the pay pal option and it just comes out of your checking account. If it makes you nervous, set up an account just for internet reasons then load just as much as you are willing to have ripped off.
I have my "internet only" credit card, I had it issued from my bank but only had a 500 limit put on it. I will never lose more than that if it is stolen.

After reading this retired troopers comments and the lawyers web site link,
I have the impression that had the Trooper written a ticket for "Impeding" rather than mentioning "speed" the citation for impeding (and not being courteous :killingme) would stick.
Of course I'm assuming the ticket was only for speeding.

Well, the other unit they sell has only two reviews on Amazon, and both said the unit felt cheap and didnt perform well.

I was reading those also.
the one that I saw said it came in with a damaged screen, was not wide angle and did not film in HD as suggested..
Dont think Im getting that one.

The one on the back of my camper works ok but it was expensive since its a wireless system.

Top Dawg Dual Camera DVR Dash Cam

check out this one.
has a front cam, and a second that can be used to show your dash (verify speed etc...) or out the back window.

HeeEEeey.....that'll work. If I'm understanding what I'm lookin' at; it looks like you have to hardwire the rearview camera to connect the two. I guess with some fanagling you can run the wire under the sail panels, and/or under the headliner.

You should get it then get up behind me and post video of me lane blocking.

I can get one and post the video of you flashing your lights at me.. it would be cool and good for 5 or 600 posts in the thread.

Karma...
Zipping to Solomons on RT 235 yesterday I noticed a white mini van from NC scurrying next to me so he could squeeze between the Escort in front and myself. As we got to the intersection to RT 4 he had to slam on his brakes to make the turn - behind me.
Naturally, he tailgated me at 60 mph over the bridge, I could swear at one point on the bridge I could count the freckles on his weaselly face. :killingme
I had to brake when a seagull flew by, then slowed down to 50 on the other side. As I slowed down to make the right turn to Solomons. MR. Minivan racer was no more than one foot off my car.
Sure enough, the minute I put my signal on, he pulled in the right turn lane. At this point I had had enough and completed my turn as the idiot did a NASCAR lane change and flew down the left lane after giving me a one fingered salute.
Happens to everyone...
BUT I got out of the way.
