40 in a 55 in the left is just wrong.
Now, 55 in a 55 is perfectly acceptable.

It's about time. Drivers need to become aware that they aren't the only idiot on the road and MOVE over and get out of the passing lane. Common sense: Through lane (right) is used unless you are passing, when you use the "passing" or left lane.

But around here, wouldn't keeping up with traffic in the middle or left lanes be appropriate? I would think so. Common sense <snort> would dictate that if you are going to drive in the left or "passing" lane, you keep up with the flow of traffic in that lane; otherwise, stay right. Right?
Yeah, that's what I thought too.

Depending on the time of day though, how often does that happen?
Besides that, in and around here, the max speed limit is 45, isn't it?
At least til you get north of H'wood. THEN try creepin' along in the left lane. Huh?

Actually it is 55 about 500 yards past RT 4 which is just before Hollywood. Also contrary to popular belief the speed limit on 245 and St Andrews Church is 50 not 40 like most people do.

I know.....I travel it twice-a-day, five days-a-week. Makes me wish the bump-n-run was legal.

Was up by the base area, speed limit is 45. I was in the golden 10 mile over the limit rule.

not familiar with the "golden 10 mile over the limit" rule.
is this in fine print under the speed limit?

so your complaint is really that this guy was going maybe 3 under the limit?

I got good news today.

My commute has been reduced to about once a week. Maybe twice if something important is going down. I got the green-light for telecommuting this week. YEAH BABY!

Not only will I save a veritable FORTUNE in gasoline, but all y'all ####ers can do whatever you want from now on, and I don't care. Go ahead and cause all the road rage you want, be as discourteous as you please, go slam into telephone poles, fiddle with your junk while you're driving. My ####s will no longer be given!

Toxick, out.

I can do that too, and some days I do, most the time I just work here in the morning, go in for 4 or 5 hours, then move on. Its great to not have to go in, or to be able to pick a low traffic time to go. I always base my leaving the home or not on traffic .com.

So in your eyes it's ok to speed...just not more than you see fit (62)?

Yes, 62. The way I drive has been working. I have never received a traffic ticket. I am going to announce that on my tombstone. It is the only thing I can say I am perfect at; I covet it!

Man, I'm still here !!!
another example of stupid drivers not understanding left lane, following a car over the bridge doing 45 the whole way, get to St Mary's side and speeds up to 50, get to 235/4 intersection and what does he do gets in the far left lane. I just want to see if he'd make left into the cracker barrel, Nope he stayed in left lane, 45 MPH on down to the base WTFO...

wait a second. People need to stay right because MOST people want to speed in the left.
Yet, MOST people do 40 instead of 50 on St Andrews Church and 245, and this time the MOST are in the wrong?

what is it, should we consider what MOST are driving and adapt accordingly, or should certain people have signs on the car to indicate they are the ones to set the terms of the road.

Its either most or its not.

I'm thinking you didn't look ahead and plan that move very well.

I think most people on St Andrews Church doing 40 are following one dummy holding up everyone.

I think most people on St Andrews Church doing 40 are following one dummy holding up everyone.

so, at the same time every day, one dummy holds up traffic. As soon as he turns off everyone goes back to the speed limit.

seems to me that I would plan to leave a few minutes earlier and get in front of this guy.

Now who's the dummy.

I never get a chance to see him/her. I'm usually a mile or so back. After the dummy pulls of and the line of cars gets to rolling again we usually come up on another one within a half mile. I rarely drive that road. At least no further than the xfr station.
