Why don't you just adopt Dallas and get her fixed... It can't be any more expensive than putting a puppy thru all of it's well baby care as well as getting it fixed...:shrug:baileydog said:Dallas was going to be the mother of my next baby. And now this. I think im going to cry now

www.IMOM.org try them. there is another one, but i dont have the link on this computer. If i can remember it, I will post it.baileydog said:My friend has a 4 yr old pure bred German Shepherd. She just found out this morning that her dog has a genetic female disorder. The vet said they could try a medication for a day or two and if that doesnt work, Dallas (dog) will need surgery. Other that this, this dog is beautiful, healthy and very loving. My friend can not afford this and her only option is to give her away or put her down. To kill this beautiful girl for lack of money is a disgrace. but they have no money. Does anyone know of anything or anyone that can help save Dallas. I can not take her as she hates cats and I have 4. Suggestions, anyone?
I'm done.baileydog said:Because we were going to split the cost down the middle and I wanted a puppy.
baileydog said:MAGSR just called and I spoke with them and they are calling the friend to see if they can help. God bless them.
you're welcome. If you decide to use IMOM, do it quickly because i think what they do is put you on a page, and try to get people to sponsor you, they may also give you some money from general funds, but sometimes it can take a little time. They seem to pull through alot though, I use to donate to them.baileydog said:Thanks for the site starcat. If MAGSR cant help Ill give her that site to see.

I'm confused, is the issue that she needs the operation to live, or so she will live AND still be able to breed? If she gets spayed, would that take care of the problem? I would try to find her a new home. People like that, shouldnt have animals. I am sure someone would take her and be willing to pay for her surgery, so many people out there who love animals, AND have money.baileydog said:You have the patience of a saint Kwillia, where people are concerned. There are a million things wrong with doing that, especially with the breed you are talking. GS dogs have MANY MAJOR hereditary issues that could end up being very expensive and painful for each and every one of those cute little puppies you want to bring into this world just so you and your clueless friend can get your rocks off. I do have patience when patience is due. I feel sorry for the Dallas.baileydog said:You have the patience of a saint Kwillia, where people are concerned. I only wish we were all perfect like you. Starcat, for the record, I think it's really nice you are trying to do best by Dallas and for the dogs sake, I hope you find the right people to take her and get her fixed.StarCat said:I'm confused, is the issue that she needs the operation to live, or so she will live AND still be able to breed? How much are they needing for surgery? They have financing for this. Why doesn't she just apply for that and then worry about getting the money to repay it?
The vet isn't going to put down a dog unless that is requested by the owner.
Bottom line, the husband doesn't want to treat the dog.
