I saw something like this on Pinterest that I want to try....except it was Granny Smith apples and it cooked the whole time in the crockpot....http://www.thekitchenismyplayground.com/2013/10/slow-cooker-apple-pork-loin-with-honey.html
I do the lazy person's version of that recipe. I get apple pie filling, mixed with Sauerkraut, onions, and extra cinnamon and onions. Make a nest out of that mixture in the crock pot, then add pork roast to the center adding salt & pepper. It's pretty good!

Sauerkraut makes me want to hurl so I'll skip that.

I bought some rice noodles from the Asian market yesterday. I soaked them in warm water then put them in the wok with broccoli, sesame seed, ginger and soy. It was surprisingly easy & good.

Mmmm I've done similar on the stove top.

Minced garlic, chopped cilantro, and broth into one pan. Season pork chops with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper and put in the pan with the broth, garlic, and cilantro.
In the other pan melted butter and apple slices (I usually do chunks because easier to do bite sizes).
Cook until pork chops and apples are done, then combine. Takes about ten minutes to cook.

Pulled beef bbq with Sonnies BBQ sauce (Sonnies in a bbq joint down here with awesome food), coleslaw and waffle fries. Been cleaning the pool and deck most of the day so I just threw a chunk of beef in the crock pot and let it fall apart, then put the bbq sauce in it. Smells so good.

Just got back from a mini vacay so I got a rotisserie chicken and used the meat to make chicken quesadillas. :yay: Utz has some really good multigrain tortilla chips that are yum! So we had quesadillas, salsa, sour cream, chips & grapes. :yum:

Put two huge porterhouse steaks on the grill yesterday, fresh asparagus and baked potato. Needless to say, neither of us could finish our steaks, so leftover steak tonite.

Tonight we're having shakshuka, which is eggs poached in a spicy tomato sauce, then you sop it up with crusty bread. I can't wait!!!

That sounds amazing! How hard is it to poach an egg, really? I'm intimidated

My SIL brought us some fresh tortilla's from San Diego...there is nothing like fresh tortillas!!! So we're having carne asada burrito's w/ homemade refried beans, mexican rice, salsa, & gucamole. Soooo excited to pig out on all that deliciousness & tip back a few dos equis :yum: :buddies:

Really though, I'm moving in. Make room :yay:

We had Elvis Panini sammiches last night, so I guess I have to make a real meal tonight but :pete:

I am so very blessed
I have 2 lbs of ground beef, and no inspiration to do anything with it. And, no, I don't want hamburgers/cheeseburgers or meatloaf.

Any ideas?
