Eggs are a component in many other foods. Increased cost of eggs raises the cost of almost any baked goods such as bread.
I'm by no means a baker, or general cookist, but I thought if you added eggs it was cake. Unless you add too much egg and then it's quiche. For your consideration ...
Except that eggs are rarely used in the production of commercially made breads.
"Today we'll take a look at the other ingredients in bread. To do this, we analyzed the ingredient lists of over 2,000 breads. The average list had 20-25 ingredients! That's 5 times more ingredients than you need for a basic bread (flour, water, yeast, salt). It's important to note, some ingredients, such as dough conditioners used in tiny amounts are not required to be labeled!"

I make yeast breads that have eggs. The one I use every year at Thanksgiving has eggs. I'd say of my most used bread recipes it's about about equal. I have no idea about what's in most commercial breads.I'll be damned, the only kinds I've ever made had eggs in it, but I don't do much baking.

That may be true, but there's no mention of a rooster in the story. We have vulnerable Blood vessels on our body (leg and neck) and a rooster can penetrate several inches with his spurs so it's very possible to bleed out from being spurred by a rooster, small or large.
Fixed.I paint modern and sophisticated nude self-portraits in egg tempera and the egg yolks I use as binders with pigments have quadrupled in price.
But that is a picture of a rooster in the story. That may be true, but there's no mention of a rooster in the story.
Probably lifted from the interwebz. But that is a picture of a rooster in the story.
I read another version online and they did say it was a rooster that did it.That may be true, but there's no mention of a rooster in the story.
“… The centralization of food production impoverishes our rural communities as it creates an oligopoly. This centralization of food production is also bad for consumers. This system lacks resilience.
“When mega-production facilities that are focused on efficiency break down, consumers’ access to food can become limited, which causes panic. This state of panic allows multinational companies to increase their profits exponentially.
“When the driving goal of our food production system is efficiency, as opposed to resiliency, consumers suffer.”
