Famous People from SOMD

I said this before but I think it's true that the guy that played Grady on Sanford and Son is from Pomonkey. I saw it with my own eyes. One time me and my grandma was in Waldorf and I saw him driving in his car and I told my grandma. She LOVES that show so we chased him all the way to Pomonkey. He drove down some dirt road and jumped out of his car and disappeared in the woods. My grandma chased him but then she got caught up in some sticker bushes. We waited for a while but he didn't come back. My grandma got a brochure out of his car on hypothermia and sold it on EBay. I think they should put up a sign that says he's from Pomonkey or at least put a sign up saying he disappeared into the woods. He was funny on that show with his shenanigens and hiding from Ester and violent outbursts. I think Pomonkey would love that and honor his achievements.

No, the name is just a coincidence.
It was Chopticon and the funniest joke ever pulled off on a student body. The real Chuck Taylor was white.... and died in the 60's.

Tom Clancy lived in Calvert, but I'm not sure where he grew up. I think his ex-wife still lives there. He was my insurance agent before he struck it big as a writer.
Perhaps you missed this?

And Toni Braxton used to live here. I don't know, but I heard her dad still works at Calvert Cliffs.

She was born in Severn in Anne Arundel County.

Maybe if American Idol ever comes this way, we could get some more good famous singers from SOMD!

There's a wrestler who is from somd, but I can't remember his name. I've also heard that John Glenn once lived there as well.

A lot of the astronauts lived here while going through the Navy Test Pilot School.

And Jazz wasn't the first to mention it in this thread either. The very first reply to this thread was:

You've posted more than twice as often as me, and you use the term "forum *LOSERS*"?

The only ones I know of are the ones almost everyone seems to know of - Ted Koppel apparently owns a home here, and Tom Clancy has a home somewhere up near Huntingtown in Calvert.

Isn't there a time limit on rehashing old topics, kinda like telling old jokes?
