For future reference, grammar, spelling, and form really do have an impact on how others view you. Just something to keep in mind next time you post. If you want to be taken seriously, typing as if you're using your toes and hitting enter won't get you anywhere.

You might have even been taken slightly more seriously had you just posted this as is in the appropriate sub-forum where the animal nuts hang out.

But trust, it's not that we don't care about the critters.

/surely failed attempt

Dorment? :killingme

You've been away for awhile. By your posts, obviously not trying to further your education.

I disagree with those who say the Amish and Mennonites treat animals poorly a part of their religious practice.

Half of my family are Mennonites and I grew up on a Mennonite farm with all the standard animals. I know of no teaching or phylosophy in the Mennonite faith that would cause them to treat animals poorly. We always provided food, shelter, water, protection and veternary care to every animal. then there were some who didn't.

That said I do believe many Amish puppy peddlers view a cage full of puppies no differently than a basket of tomatoes, simply a commodity to make money off whereas most people see adorable flop eared cute puppies.

The Amish and Mennonites are not immune to having members who lack compassion or view a cage full of puppies as a basket full of money.

Always whining on here

Some countries them puppies are on the menu. And for the goat you can buy goat meat in a store if you look for it:cds:
And no I am not saying to treat them poorly in any manner but you can't just step up half the step you have to take a whole step. You worried about them pups buy them and see they get GREAT HOMES.

I have"nt done to much posting on the forums, since joining. But I feel so bad about what I saw at the Farmers Market today I wanted to share. We go there often to get veggies and me being a die hard animal lover like to see the puppies, and other animals there. It"s usually the same Amish there week to week with their puppies, and they have gotten much better about the way they are treating them. This older Amish man sells his out of the back of his wagon, and today he had 3 long hair pups look to be a mix of shepard and ?in a crate a piece of cardboard on the top for shade. That was the only shade!A small group of people noticed about the same time that one of the pups looked out of it.And was saying that the pup needed help or was going to die..and they was going to call the cops.I reached in and took the pup out,but he was smart enough to have laid across the water bowl and had his front paws in the water. He was definitly uncomfortable from the heat and I told the Amish man to please move the pups to some shade or they would be sick .He moved the crate under his wagon which was better..we circled around after getting our veggies and he moved the crate back out and up on some baskets so at least they was getting some air movement, and the pup at that point looked to be doing better.I have done nothing but think of those pups ever since and wonder if I should have done more?..but what.I"am going to get in touch with animal control..I guess I"m looking for feed back (that is not nasty).Like I say I love animals.Selling them there in this heat should not be allowed if you can"t provide shade, and then its still hot.So many are stuffed in small crates with their long fur and maybe have water for them, and in some cases the water was dirty. It"s sad to see what these pups go thru.I hope in the end they get good loving homes.

Mind your business. These are pets for sale outside. SO what. All the people are outside walking around. Really? This is all you have to do? Not like #### and dog fighting going on.
