And here I was thinking that we had left this brand of thinking behind after WWII when they were marching homosexuals into big ovens.

And the fact is, no you can't prove that its not a mental issue, just like you can't prove that its not a natural genetically predetermined disposition.

But at the same time, why should it matter? If a perfectly healthy single woman marched into that clinic and wanted this procedure, and just said that some of her friends would help her raise the child, who is the doctor to say anything against it?

I know a lot of straight people out there, and I can tell you that I wouldn't feel a lot less comfortable with them raising a child than I would with a happy healthy lesbian couple.

..you don't like it doesn't make the argument irrational. Even is she set these guys up for this suit, they still refused service based on, they say, religious beliefs. The society, in exchange for the right to do business in that community says you can't do that. Now, they either agree or they are free to shut their doors.

They are turning down business, the business they chose because of this woman's sexual preferences which, unless they have been watching, they can only assume she's even gay. And now they get to go to court and fight to protect themselves from this abomination in the face of their faith that tells them 'No artificially inseminating lesbians."

Who is being irrational?



I'm trying to imagine you telling someone "Sorry. You're money is no good. You're gay" and not feeling like you've lost your mind.
